Beach, Friday Evening -- Johnny's Birthday Party

Savannah had gotten people's help to set up everything on the beach for the party and she was pretty happy with the results. There was a table with food and drinks and another table for gifts. There were tiki torches spread around the area for light and ambiance. They had also made sure there was plenty of space for dancing and just flopping onto towels on the sand after playing in the water.

A banner was strung between two trees that read:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOHNNY!!

After helping set up, Isabel spread a blanket out near the water and took a seat. A tropical beach, a party, and a million stars in the sky. It didn't get much better then this.

Anders was around as promised, ready to do whatever he had to do; the bandage below his left shoulder was still visible around his tank top, and he was still eyeing his arms as if he suspected he was lopsided.

Hoshi was definitely there. She grabbed herself a fruity drink and looked to see who else she knew and who she hadn't met yet.

Chris was kind of a brat.

He put several packages on the table that included a card that said:

Dude, have a great birthday! Chris

One tall, narrow silver gift bag, a small, soft package wrapped in newspaper and a gift basket.

Johnny? Cracked up laughing when he opened his gifts from Chris. The first one was awesome and actually the other two were great. He was seriously going to wear the t-shirt; totally cool.

He was not, however, going to think about herding any cows.

Savannah had managed to keep Johnny distracted and occupied for long enough that their friends could get to the party and be all set up to surprise him. She finally led him down to the beach -- by convincing him that she wanted some secluded alone time with him for his birthday.

She's so sneaky.

Savannah was sitting on a beach towel watching people celebrate with Johnny. She was smiling and pretty happy with the way the party was going.
