After saying goodbye to Annette, Savannah had gone shopping and took her new bathing suit to the Photo Hut -- where she had ended up getting into a fight with Johnny and almost losing control of both her temper and her magic.

Luckily, she had managed to reign in her temper just enough before she had let loose with the spell on Johnny.

Now, though, she was at the Cove and was sick to her stomach that she had almost lost control on Johnny. She could have really hurt him!

That would be why she was sending blasts of power at the rocks, instead.

Sean needed to train, hadn't spent nearly enough time working on his magic lately, and what with the island's sudden migration, he figured that was enough of a motivator.

When he reached the corner where he liked to practice, he realized someone else was already there -- and judging by the shower of debris flying into the air, he had a pretty good idea of who.

"What's wrong, Savannah?" he called, peering through the dust that had flown up around the rocks.

"Go away," she snarled, sending another spell at the rocks. She was focusing on fighting with the rocks so she didn't turn on anyone and fight them..

"Hell no," he responded mildly. "I wanna know what's got you beating up rocks instead of working out in the gym." He knew most of her ways of working out frustration and pretended to be oblivious about the rest.

Savannah sent another spell at the rocks and turned to look at Sean. "I almost attacked Johnny because I came close to losing my temper," she growled.

Well, that wasn't good, was it?

"And why exactly did you almost lose your temper?" he asked cautiously, stopping where he was standing.

"My emotions are a bit messed up and Johnny and I got into a fight."

"Is there a reason they're messed up or is it just... y'know... a thing?" He was trying to say that in a way that wouldn't get a rock flung at his head.

Savannah turned and her eyes were full of emotion. "Half of my friends are leaving. I had to say goodbye to my best friend this morning and I almost hurt Johnny because of a girls and guys fight."

"Oh, sweetheart," he said softly. "What was the fight about?" Because they could address the rest of that later but if she didn't talk about the fight, she'd let it eat at her.

"I got jealous."

"Of what?" Realizing that hadn't come out right at all, he said, "I mean, was he paying attention to someone else or was someone trying to pay attention to him or something like that?"

"Then what was it?" Because he couldn't think of anything else.

"So," he said when he found her. "What in the hell set you off?"

Savannah sent a force bolt at one of the rocks. "You won't get it," she said, fighting to keep her focus. "I'm not even sure I get it."

"Try me," he said sternly, although patiently.

She wanted to blow up rocks, fine by him, but she was going to tell him what the hell he did wrong.

She used her hand instead of power to hit the nearest rock.

"It's okay for you to make jokes about having girls crawling all over you, but it's wrong coming from me." Her voice was full of anger. "I. Got. Jealous."

"Savannah!" he yelled at her, stepping over and attempting to grab her hand so she couldn't hit the rock again. "Enough! God... what are you trying to do, hurt yourself?"

He tried to calm down, he seriously did, but he was having a hard time of it. "Jealous? Come on, that's totally lame. How can you be jealous over... no one?"

Savannah looked at him and her eyes were full of emotion.

"I told you I didn't get it," she said. "But when you start talking about all the girls you could have paying attention to, but get cranky when I make the same comments..."

"Yeah, but..." okay, maybe she had a point. "But that was then, I wouldn't allow it now, you know that, right?" He held her hand still and looked down at it, seeing what damage she had done to it.

Savannah's hand was cut up. She raised her eyes to look at him. "I don't know why it set me off, Johnny. I know you wouldn't allow it..."

He shook his head, cursing low. "You didn't have to hit the goddamn rock, Savannah." His eyes met hers. "I thought you knew me better than that to let something like that set you off. What started out as playful banter turned dark and ugly and I need to know specifically what it is I said, did, so I don't make the same mistake twice."

She tried to pull her hand away. "I don't know," she said quietly. "Benecio would say it's because I haven't been letting things out and it just boiled over." She shook her head. "One moment I was fine with the teasing and then you said what you did about how girls couldn't be sex magnets and for some reason it hurt and made me start... getting upset."

He let go. Johnny wasn't about to manhandle her.

"What if I said I didn't think girls could be sex magnets. Would that have changed anything? Stating it as my opinion instead of speaking generally?" he asked her quietly.

"Why did the bikini and the idea of me wearing it on the beach bother you?" She asked. "Don't you know what I would do to anyone who tried to lay hands on what I had given to you?"
