After saying goodbye to Annette, Savannah had gone shopping and took her new bathing suit to the Photo Hut -- where she had ended up getting into a fight with Johnny and almost losing control of both her temper and her magic.

Luckily, she had managed to reign in her temper just enough before she had let loose with the spell on Johnny.

Now, though, she was at the Cove and was sick to her stomach that she had almost lost control on Johnny. She could have really hurt him!

That would be why she was sending blasts of power at the rocks, instead.

He shook his head, cursing low. "You didn't have to hit the goddamn rock, Savannah." His eyes met hers. "I thought you knew me better than that to let something like that set you off. What started out as playful banter turned dark and ugly and I need to know specifically what it is I said, did, so I don't make the same mistake twice."

She tried to pull her hand away. "I don't know," she said quietly. "Benecio would say it's because I haven't been letting things out and it just boiled over." She shook her head. "One moment I was fine with the teasing and then you said what you did about how girls couldn't be sex magnets and for some reason it hurt and made me start... getting upset."

He let go. Johnny wasn't about to manhandle her.

"What if I said I didn't think girls could be sex magnets. Would that have changed anything? Stating it as my opinion instead of speaking generally?" he asked her quietly.

"Why did the bikini and the idea of me wearing it on the beach bother you?" She asked. "Don't you know what I would do to anyone who tried to lay hands on what I had given to you?"

Eh, and the shame his his gut, hard.

He looked down, shifting his stance. "I don't want any guys checking you out."

"I know that my boyfriend is pretty fucking sexy... but that doesn't mean I want girls checking you out, either."

"Okay, I get that," he said. "I wasn't seeing it beyond my own line of sight. I'm sorry, Savannah. Sometimes I say shit without thinking how you might take it."

She let out a breath.

"Johnny? I love you and I love that you're honest and say what's on your mind. I just... I'm sorry."

He cocked his head. "That sounded more like a 'but' to me..."

"No buts," she said softly. "I'm really sorry I lost my temper."

"Is there another, underlying reason for it and our fight today just triggered it?"

"I have never been good at goodbyes and before I came here that was fine because I didn't get close to anyone and now I have all of these people I care about and they're leaving and I had to say goodbye to Annette this morning!" She wasn't aware that she was crying.

Johnny was very much aware but he was afraid she would reject his touch if he reached out for her. "I didn't know, Savannah. I'm sorry. I never would have teased and carried on like I did if I had known you were hurting."

She would never reject his touch and when she looked at him, her eyes were saying very clearly that she needed him. However, she was also worried that he was still upset with her.

"I was trying to hide it and pretend I wasn't and... I'm so sorry."

"Shh," he whispered and reached out for her, gently pulling her in and against his chest. The look in her eyes said much and he felt like a total ass for having upset her.

"You have nothing to be sorry for. I'm an arrogant prick most of the time, Savannah. I'm sorry, sweetheart."

"You are not a prick," she protested. "I should have stopped and told you how I was feeling before it got to the point where we were angry with each other.

"My arguement was stupid, baby, totally ungrounded. If you want to kick my ass, I'll let you," he said, only half joking.

"I can think of better things to do with you and your ass," she said softly, holding him tightly.

Savannah smiled softly, and then pulled his face down to hers so she could kiss him.
