After saying goodbye to Annette, Savannah had gone shopping and took her new bathing suit to the Photo Hut -- where she had ended up getting into a fight with Johnny and almost losing control of both her temper and her magic.

Luckily, she had managed to reign in her temper just enough before she had let loose with the spell on Johnny.

Now, though, she was at the Cove and was sick to her stomach that she had almost lost control on Johnny. She could have really hurt him!

That would be why she was sending blasts of power at the rocks, instead.

"Oh, sweetheart," he said softly. "What was the fight about?" Because they could address the rest of that later but if she didn't talk about the fight, she'd let it eat at her.

"I got jealous."

"Of what?" Realizing that hadn't come out right at all, he said, "I mean, was he paying attention to someone else or was someone trying to pay attention to him or something like that?"

"Then what was it?" Because he couldn't think of anything else.

"He was talking about how girls flock to him like a magnet but when I said I should become a guy magnet..."

"He didn't like it, did he?" Sean rolled his eyes. "Personally, I'm all in favor of you being a guy magnet. Maybe find a nice bi guy for me. It'd work."

"I got pissed off for no reason, Sean."

"I was going to go with you got pissed off because of a double standard," Sean said with a shrug. "If he's allowed to make jokes like that, then you should be, too."

"Sean... I almost used my powers on him!"

"Because you're a teenage witch with a temper and he hit a sore spot. I can almost guarantee you wouldn't react that way about any other subject. Well, not most other subjects."

"So I came out here to blow things up."

"Excellent idea," Sean said with a nod. "Mind if I join you?"

Sean flicked a spell at the rocks -- one of the spells in the material Benicio had sent him so he could come up with some kind of structure for Savannah's lessons.

He knew exactly how to pique his sister's interest.

And it worked like a charm.

"What was that?"

"You'd know the answer if you'd read the stuff Benicio sent you," he said in a singsong tone.

"Was I suppose to do that before or after my adopted big brother went evil, my whitelighter turned into a spider demon, my kids from the future and from Cairo showed up, and half of my friends graduated and had to fight evil fairies to survive?"

"Somewhere between the whitelighter turning into a spider demon and the kids showing up," he said, sticking his tongue out at her.

"Show me," she demanded, sticking her tongue out.

Sean went to stand behind his sister, taking her left hand in his. "The finger motions go like this," he said, shaping her fingers in the correct movement.

She let him shape her hand into the correct position. "What does it do?"

"A breaking spell," he said. "Lowest level's great for defense work -- if you need to break branches several trees away so you can distract someone and run, for example. Highest level? Will break body parts."

Not that they wanted to use that on anybody, obviously, and not that they'd even be up to learning that one in the near future, but it could definitely come in handy given the bad stuff that so often invaded.

Savannah nodded. She could see how useful a spell like this could be.

"Now, obviously the highest level is totally not something we want to use. But it could definitely come in handy." He grinned. "Plus? Lowest level of the spell is so much fun on rocks. Just not big ones. That pushes the limits and just puts cracks in 'em."
