Friday Night, Room 217

Savannah was getting ready for her date... and was having a hard time figuring out exactly what to wear.

She finally decided on jeans and a sleeveless sweater since it was still really hot outside. As per usual, she left her hair down as well. One of these days, she might start wearing her in some sort of fancy style, but she really did prefer it to be loose or in a ponytail.

She put on her sneakers and then sat down at her desk to wait.

She had seen the posters for the girl kissing event and thought that Abigail was made of win for putting something like that together.

Chris showed up at Savannah's door, but wasn't quite as bouncy about the date as she was. Not after the handwavy call he had gotten from his Aunt Phoebe about her conversation with Johnny the day before.

Nonetheless, he was wearing a nice button down short-sleeved shirt and a pair of light chinos when he knocked.

Savannah got up from her desk where she was sitting talking to Johnny and answered the door with a smile.

"Hey there."

"Hey," Chris said, flinching visibly when he spotted the nearly naked Johnny on Savannah's bed. "Um... I guess you're busy. I'll talk to you later."

She looked confused. "Wait, Chris? No! I wasn't doing anything! Johnny is staying with me for a few a days."

"Yeah, I heard," Chris said, shaking his head. "Never mind. We can go out some other time."

He turned to leave.

Savannah reached out and placed a hand on his sholder. "Chris? Don't go."

Chris stopped, but didn't turn to look at her. "Why not?"

"Because we're supposed to be going out... and I want to." She stepped out of the room and shut the door. "What that... nothing happened, I swear. I would tell you if it did, I told you that. He just came back from the shower right before you got here and we were talking about the fact that you and I were going out tonight, that's all."

"He's in your room practically naked," Chris pointed out. "And he told my aunt that he slept with you. I know you told me it wasn't like that, Savannah. But... hearing that and then finding him like this? I'm not sure what to think."

"Yeah, because we're purposefully staging a rebellion against Umbridge and her stupid decrees about tearing roommates apart. In fact, I was planning on being a troublemaker and staring a co-ed commune in my room for displaced roommates. I'm betting that bit of information slipped people's minds -- and I know your ant knew because I told Anders!" Savannah blinked. "Wait. What?! I haven't had sex with Johnny! I haven't had sex with anybody!" She gave him a sad look. "I don't lie, Chris. I wouldn't have sex with someone and then go out with someone else. I'm not like that." She looked at him, trying to hide the fact that him thinking that she might have made her sad.

"I know you wouldn't lie about that," Chris said. "But I thought... I guess maybe I thought you'd changed your mind. Or decided that you wanted to date Johnny and not me. And I was going to tell you what he had said so you'd know, but then I saw him in there and... well, I couldn't help but wonder."

Savannah sighed. "This dating and people thing is a litlle weird sometimes, isn't it? If I had made any decisions, Chris, I would tell you. Believe me, no one has ever accused me of being known for my tact or anything like that. I'm sometimes too honest." She shook her head. "And yes, I have slept next to him before... fully clothed except for my shoes."

Chris nodded. "I'm not very good at this," he admitted. "And I'm used to girls choosing Wyatt over me, so it wouldn't have surprised me if you had decided you wanted to date Johnny instead."

Johnny wandered in after his shower and why yes he just walked in. After all, temporary roommate status said he could. Glancing at Savannah he moved over to her bed and sprawled on it, towel hanging low around his hips.

"Going to that girlkissy thing tonight?"

Savannah smiled and shook her head. "Alas, no. Chris and I are going out."

"Oh," he said. "Where you going?"

Savannah was trying really hard not to stare at the mostly unclothed Johnny. She had never seen a guy wearing so little.

"What? Oh, dinner. He's taking me to dinner."

"Well I hope you guys have a good time," he said, going for nonchalance.

She gave him a smile. "Thanks. I hope we will, too." She as again, trying not to stare. "Uhmm...plans? I mean... do you have plans for tonight?"

He rolled onto his back and folded his hands across the flat of his stomach. "Might crash that party. Other than that, nope. Just hanging out."

Savannah tilted her head with a grin. "Ah, the girl kissing party?"

"Yep. Not everyday a guy gets to see that, know what I mean." He cut his eyes over at her. "You going to be gone long?"

"This is very true." Savannah grinned. "Somehow I'm thinking that certain people might be a bit shocked and unhappy with me if I went to that... though I'm sure it would be fun." She shrugged. "I'm not sure how late I'll be. I'm not even sure where we're going. On the island somewhere, I think."

Savannah laughed. "Eve. Her precious little girl going around and just randomly kissing people?"
