Monday Evening, Serenity Cove

There was still plenty of light out when Savannah made her way to Serenity Cove.

Last night had not been the best night for her -- causing a fight between her boyfriend and her big brother. She had been almost positive that Johnny and Anders were going to come to blows and that was something that she never wanted to see.

She was restless and had a lot of tension in her that she needed to work out.

So, after swimming for a little while, she came back up onto the sand and sat for awhile, trying to calm herself down and release all of the tension.

Meditation... was not working.

That would be why she was now doing cartwheels and backflips up and down the beach.

Robin had his banjo with him as he came down to the beach that evening, with the idea of singing to the waves and the fishes. Really he'd just thought it'd be a great setting for singing.

He noticed someone else on the beach and set his banjo aside so he could watch.

"Wow, that's cool!"

After she reached the end of her path, Savannah stopped and turned. She smiled when she saw she had an audience.

"Hi, Robin. How are you?"

"I'm great! It's such a beautiful evening. How are you?"

"I'm doing pretty good, now."

It was true. There was something about Robin that always made her smile.

Frogs don't blush in terms of skin color, but their body language communicated the same thing. "Gymnastics make you happy?" he giggled.

"Gymnastics and conversations with good people," she said with a grin.

"I haven't tried a lot of that first one, but I love the second." he bounced. "How're your classes going?"

Savannah beamed. "I love my classes and my art class is fantastic!" She grinned/ "How about you?"

"Really great! Miss Tyler in Pop Culture said I could bring some DVD's of Muppet Stuff to show the class."

Mary was out for a walk on the beach, lost in her thoughts about Samantha and what she had been through, when she spotted Savannah. "Hey you!" she called out.

She turned and her smile was friendly. "Mary! Hi!" She jogged over to see her.

"How are you? I haven't seen you for a while, though I've been meaning to talk to you," said Mary, smiling back.

"Been busy with classes and I got a new job." She grinned. "I also spent four days as a panther cub." She shook her head. "Yeah, I know it sounds insane, but I promise you, it's true. How about you?"

"I think I can sympathize," said Mary with a giggle. "I had a craving for milk one day and found myself spending the next two weeks as a kitten! It was definitely an experience. So, tell me about the new job," she added, smiling.

"I'm working at Nast Sporting Goods in town," Savannah was smiling, too. "I kind of bullied Sean into hiring me so he would quit working himself so much."

"Oh, that's good," said Mary. "It's easy to find yourself working so hard when you're by yourself. I'm surprised at how much more relaxed I am now that I have some great people working for me at the hotel."

"You do seem a lot more relaxed than you used to be. I'm glad."

Johnny was there, but he was in shadow, sitting upon a rock with his arms wrapped around his legs. He was watching Savannah and those she conversed with.

He really didn't want to interrupt; he just wanted to make sure she was kept safe.

Like Savannah wouldn't know he was there?

When people wandered off, she gathered up her towel and her sketchpad and made her way up to the rocks.

"Want some company... or want to be alone?" Her smile was soft.

"I didn't want to bother you," he said low, patting the rock beside him. "How did you know I was up here?"

"You're never a bother." She climbed up next to him. "A couple of ways. One, it's getting dark, and you don't like me out alone after dark. Two... you're my Johnny and I can sometimes just tell when you're nearby." She looked down.

"Those are two great answers, Savannah, and they are both correct." He smiled and put his arm around her shoulders, pulling her in against his side. "That and I just like watching you, learning you..."

Savannah leaned against him. "Learning what, love?"

"Everything," he whispered and leaned over, kissing her cheek softly. "I just like to watch you. Your expressions, your movements; everything."

"I enjoy watching you, too, love. I love seeing the way your eyes can be so expressive... how you move." She smiled. "Like hearing your voice, too."
