Savannah was draped across the couch in the living room working on a sketch in her sketchpad. She kept looking at the clock and then at the doors and windows.

No sign of Johnny yet.

She hoped that everything was all right. She had tried calling him -- but she kept just getting his voicemail.

Finally when she saw that it was getting dark, she opened one of the bottles of wine she had bought for the night.

"Happy birthday to me," she muttered before she took a long drink from the bottle of wine. She had a wine glass, but why bother with the pouring right now.

Savannah wasn't sure what time she and Garin had stumbled back from Caritas, just the slightest bit drunk and neither of them caring a bit. All she knew was that they'd managed to avoid running into any of her family members on their way in, which had freed them to stumble to Savannah's room.

Savannah "Eep"-ed slightly when she shut the door behind them only to have Garin push her up against it and kiss her soundly, but she wasn't complaining. All she did was wrap her arms around his neck as they kissed.

For a little bit, at least, she wasn't going to think about anything.

Savannah was finishing up her homework for the week and really wanted to know what had possessed her to decide to take Physics this year. Oh yes, because she was an idiot.

Admittedly, the work usually didn't give her this much of a problem, but her mind was on other things.

Things like the case she had been secretly working on and wondering if any of her friends were going to be at Parents Weekend this weekend. Granted, she had to keep what she was working on secret from just about everybody since she hadn't really told anyone she was freelancing as a supernatural detective. Especially since she hadn't told Paige and Lucas she had been taking up some of their cases on the sly.

She also hadn't told any of her friends or family what she had been doing in her free time when she wasn't at school or the studio.

However, that wasn't important. What was important was this homework and if her wayward fiance was going to get back in time to leave. He had promised that he and the team would be back in a day or two, but she knew how often that day or two stretched out into several days for the last few months and...

Right. Physics homework. Mind focused.

Savannah was frowning into the phone as she paced the living room of the penthouse she and Johnny shared.

"Adam, are you sure? Well why didn't Paige call me and tell me herself?" She sighed, rubbing the center of her forehead. "Doesn't Benicio realize yet that doing something like that is just guaranteed to make both Lucas and Paige balk at him?"

She paced some more, listening to the other end of the conversation. "No, you're right. But I need to know about these things -- if only to keep the family from getting into another one of those fights where they decide not to talk to each other for months." Savannah narrowed her eyes. "Keep that up and you're not invited to my wedding and I'll get Wyatt to walk me down the aisle. No, we haven't set a date yet."

She went to the fridge to get some orange juice. "Well, if Benecio doesn't stop upsetting Paige, he can sit in a corner at the wedding." She sighed. "What? No, I'll come. If someone had told me about the murders in the first place, I might have been able to do something before the Nasts had to get involved -- and I don't care why they're involved. Thomas and Josef Nast plus Benicio and the other Cortezes can only mean trouble. No, we are not telling Sean and Annja about this. They just celebrated their one year anniversary. I can at least buy my big brother some time before he has to deal with his relatives again." She shut the fridge with more force than she had planned.

"Yes, I'm pissed at you. You're supposed to be my best friend and let me know when things happen that might upset my family, Adam. No, you're supposed to call me before the last minute and I know you only do this because you like poking at Johnny and annoying him." Savannah sighed, pulling at her hair. "No. I'll get packed and get the first flight to Oregon that I can. I'll let you know when I make arrangements. And Adam, this time, be there to pick me up at the airport. No, because I am not calling Wyatt and Chris each time I need to get across the country to solve a family squabble. They're my family, not my taxi service. Yeah, me too, even if you are a pain in my ass." Savannah gasped and narrowed her eyes again. "Do you kiss your mother with that mouth?" She shook her head and hung up her cell phone.

Now the really hard part. She went into the bedroom and sunk down on Johnny's side of the bed. "Sweetheart? Sweetheart wake up, I need to talk to you."

Savannah was hanging out with Johnny and his family after she got back from her classes for the day. She was having a hard time concentrating on the conversation that Sue and Reed were having. What was it about Johnny that was especially sexy tonight? Was it the way he was sitting? Had he been working out a lot more lately? Whatever it was, it was making it hard for her not to pay attention to him and ---

"Savannah?"

Savannah jerked her head up to look at Reed. "I'm sorry?"

Reed laughed and Sue shook her head. "He's just teasing, Savannah. I was just asking what you might want to do tonight? We're trying to decide if we're going out to dinner. So what would you like to do?"

"I'd really like to do your brother on the top of the Empire State Building."

Even for Savannah, that was oversharing just a bit.

walks_two_paths: (Thinking)
Savannah was amused by the fact that the man across the desk kept giving her sideways glances as if he expected her to turn into some sort of a monster and attack him in his office. It was those looks that made her kind of glad she had asked Johnny to wait in the lobby downstairs. She was pretty sure that the looks she was getting would earn the man a fireball -- or four.

The man swallowed and slid one more stack of papers across the desk.

'And if you'll just sign these last ones, Ms. Levine, I believe everything will be in order.' )

Savannah let the threat hang in the air between them and then she turned to go. She walked to the elevator and when she stepped in, she didn't feel or see anything follow her in. She continued to hold herself stiff the entire elevator ride and then when she exited, she saw that Johnny was pacing the lobby. She slid her arm through his and smiled up at him.

"I'm all done here, love. We can go now."

[[OOC: For the fiance. And yep, Savannah's starting to accept that she has just as much of her father in her as her mother.]]

Savannah, well let's be honest, after seeing Kristof in the woods Thursday night, she had been hiding in her and Johnny's hotel ever since. She had thought that was a good plan seeing as how she and Kristof didn't originally part on very good terms.

The thing is that sometimes Savannah's good plans? They don't work out so well.

Because she received a call from Kristof this morning telling her that he wanted to see her and talk to this so-called fiance of hers.

Alone. He wanted only her and Johnny present and Sean and Eve were not invited for her to hide behind.

Savannah had cleaned and cleaned and cleaned -- growling at the hotel staff that tried to enter. (She'd apologize to Mary later.) Now, Savannah was nervously pacing up and down the main room of the suite while Johnny watched her.

[[OOC: For two.]]
walks_two_paths: (Head On Her Hand)
It was no secret that Savannah had nightmares sometimes. Maybe more than sometimes. However, this time, the dream felt a lot more real than she was used to. She moved restlessly on the bed next to Johnny as she dreamed. She was murmuring in her sleep, but someone would have to be awake and paying attention to know what she was saying.

'Tell this guy to let me go. Put me down. Now!' )

Savannah shifted in her sleep, unconsciously rolling away from the warmth of Johnny's body as she kept dreaming.

'He's sleeping," Savannah said. "Weird. He must live around here, huh? Guess we should find someplace else—' )

Savannah jerked herself from the bed with a harsh cry. It took her a few moments to realize that she was in her and Johnny's bed and the dream was just that. A dream. A dream of things that had happened a long time ago. She wasn't back there in that place. She wasn't being an unwilling accomplice in the murder of a young boy just to do a protection spell.

Savannah could feel the tears on her cheeks as she quietly got out of the bed, leaving Johnny asleep. She was suddenly cold and she quickly got dressed before going out into the living room and then into the kitchen. She wasn't much of a drinker, but Johnny always had alcohol in the house so she spent a few moments staring at labels before she grabbed one of the brown liquids and poured a lot of it into a glass. (That is not how you drink bourbon, Savannah.)

She took the glass of liquor and settled onto the couch. She couldn't go back to bed right now, and she didn't want to chance waking Johnny up. She was holding the glass and finally took a long drink...

...that she ended up sputtering and choking on. "Jesus Fuck." That was a good reaction to the burning sensation in her throat and stomach from the alcohol.

Shaking her head, she closed her eyes and concentrated on her breathing. Better emotions through meditation or something like that. However, all that she could see behind her eyes was the image of the last time she had seen her father alive.

'It's okay, Savannah. It'll be okay. You didn't mean it. I know that.' )

Savannah could feel the tears sliding down her cheeks. She had only known her father for a short time and there were so many things that she wished she could say to him now.

If you dream them, they will come.

She didn't know where the thought came from, but Savannah finished the glass of alcohol and then headed towards the bedroom. She had been thinking of visiting Fandom, but she had decided that she needed to see her brother right away.

Savannah was sitting on the couch, flipping through several pages of paperwork. Every so often she would make small notes in Latin along the margins of a paragraph she didn't particularly like.

Johnny was sitting nearby watching something on the TV that he seemed really into. She couldn't help smiling as she looked at him. He had gotten back late yesterday after being away with the team for a few days and she was glad to have him back.

Of course, now it was her turn...

When a commercial break came on, she turned her head to face him. "Hey, Johnny? I need to take a trip for a few days."

This was it.

Savannah was carrying her last bag of stuff as well as the cat carrier with the new member of her family inside it. Her companion was walking with her, holding onto Destiny's leash. They didn't talk much on the walk from the dorms to the Causeway, nor did they talk as they crossed it. They were still silent as they put the remainder of Savannah's things in her car. Savannah put the cat carrier on the passenger side floor board, and made sure the harness for Destiny was set and ready.

When she could think of nothing else to do to put it off, she looked at her companion sadly.

"I guess this is it."

Savannah had packed most of her stuff and sent it on to New York a couple of days ago.

All that was left now were some of her art supplies, her laptop, some clothes and of course, Destiny and her new kitten.

She really couldn't quite believe that this was it. After all, this had been her home for the last three years. Yes, she was excited about the new paths ahead of her and what she had plans to do, but leaving this place was still really hard for her.

She tried focusing on packing and organizing the last of her things, instead of letting herself get too sad about saying goodbye.

That probably wasn't going to work for very long.

[[OOC: Door and post are open! This is Savannah's last dorm post as she is leaving Fandom tonight to head out to New York. She will not be back for the 2nd summer session.]]
