Room 217, Monday Most Of The Day And Possibly Night

When Savannah finally made it to the safety of her room Sunday, the first thing she did was take a shower and then carefully bandaged the claw marks in her stomach. They hurt, but she was in no condition to try to use any more power to even do a pain relieving spell.

Her first thought was to call Karla, but if Karla had been fighting and helping like she was, she probably was worn out too and it wouldn't make her a good friend to call on her in that shape.

So, she cleaned the gouges out as best as she could, and again missed having her big brother Wyatt in the area.

After getting changed for bed, she did something that had she been more awake, she never would have done what she did. She sent text messages to the people on her custom contact list that was set up specifically for them.

After making that bad choice -- because she hadn't told any of them that there was trouble to begin with, Savannah crawled into bed and sleep through most of Monday.

Savannah moved over so Karla could get comfortable. "Stay as long as you like. I never mind talking to you or having you around."

Karla gave Savannah a smile and curled up in the offered spot. "I like talking to you, too. We don't get to do it enough, you know."

She stretched a bit, careful not to jostle Savannah--not because she didn't trust her own handiwork, but simply because it would be rude. "Hey," she said, sounding a bit timid. "Do you have plans for this upcoming weekend? Now that 'keep all my organs internal' has been scratched off the list?"

"No we don't and we should remedy that before I graduate... and afterward. I don't want to lose touch with you."

She lifted her head to look at Karla. "I do now. Where are we going or what are we doing?"

Karla frowned again. Why were so many of her friends seniors, dammit?

But she forced herself to smile when she announced, "Kaeleer. Thought you might want to see it for real."

Savannah had asked herself that very question ever since her sophomore year.

"Count me in, I'd love to go."

"Excellent!" Karla cheered. "We're going to have tons of fun, I promise. Plus, even though we'll only be gone for the weekend here, we'll have almost a whole week in Kaeleer. Time moves at about double speed there."
