Savannah had been pretty cheerful about Parents Weekend -- even though she missed her mom and Johnny.

Elena and Clayton had shown up and as expected she got many hugs and some crankiness from Clayton. To her surprise, Bryce was here and he had been pretty civil.

However, the reason she was depressed and fighting back tears was because of a chance run-in with a friend of K-Mart's little sibling.

"I wasn't an experiment," she whispered to Destiny as the little dog whined and curled up next to her. "Eve and Kristof loved each other -- and me."

K-Mart was damn near bouncy as she walked into the room. The bounce settled when she saw the look on Savannah's face.

"Who do I have to hurt?"

Savannah shook her head, wiping her eyes.

"What happened?" K-Mart asked, moving to sit on Savannah's bed. "And don't tell me nothing happened. I know you too well."

"I met a friend of Chloe's," she sniffled. "I was told that I was famous as being a successful experiment and that her mother tried to mimic that."

"... oh, shit," K-Mart said quietly. "Are you okay?"

Savannah didn't even pretend. "It hurts that I'm thought about like that -- or that someone would do that to a kid."

"It was one of the Cabals, wasn't it?" From what Savannah had told her, it sounded like something they'd do.
