After the scene at the brunch, Savannah decided that she just didn't want to be around people right now. Especially people that were here to see Eve and, by default, her.

She was unhappy about a couple of things and full of anger about others.

She left the park and came back to the dorms. She wanted to slam doors, but she didn't. She calmly entered her room and then was even calmer as she went to the bed and sat down on it.

She clenched her fists in her lap and tried to take some deep breaths to calm herself down.

It wasn't working very well.

"About which part?" She asked softly.

"Let's start with the part where we're supposed to meet up with him at the hotel."

She finally looked at him from where she was still slumped against the wall.

"We're not going."

He could deal with that just fine.

"Can he take you from here if he wanted?"

Savannah took a deep breath.

"Not if he wanted to ever see me again," she finally admitted. "He could tell Paige and Lucas everything and they would take me out of here... and then I would take off. None of them want that."

"Then what the hell is his problem with me?" he asked, knowing Savannah probably couldn't answer that.

"Hell... maybe you are too young," he muttered, running a hand through his hair.

She started to say something to his question, but bit back a small gasp when he said the second part. She lifted her head to look over at him from the wall where she slid down to sit on the floor.

"Too young," her voice small and there was bitterness in it. "Too young for what? Too young to love you like I do? Too young to want to have a future with you? Too young to have been through so much even before coming here? To young to know that there are people that want me dead by virtue of my blood?"

She never raised her voice.

He couldn't look at her but the conversation yesterday made him think, even if he thought Benicio was a dick.

"Am I being unfair? I'm going to be leaving. Is it unfair to make you deal with a long distance relationship?"

Savannah was pretty sure there was a weight on her chest and it was making it hard to breathe. She struggled for enough air to answer him.

"Are you asking this because you want me to answer? O-or are you asking because you're wondering he's right?"

"He's not right," he said without hesitation, because he believed that. Had to believe it.

"I want to know what you think."

"I don't think you're being unfair," she whispered on the verge tears. "New York isn't that far from here, Johnny." She bit her lip, trying not to let the tears escape. "Is it... is it unfair for me to ask you have a not so long distance relationship with me?"

"No," he stated, "it's not. I love you and I'm serious about marrying you one day when it's right. I just... I don't want you to give up anything for me. I want no regrets from you later in life."

When Savannah finally spoke again, her voice was soft. "I'm giving up nothing, Johnny. I want to be with you because you're my life and my world now. I won't have any regrets when you decide that you want to marry me again."

She lifted her face up to meet his. "What about the things you could give up being with me? I don't want you to have regrets Johnny."

He grinned, just a little. "Name one thing I'm giving up?"

"All your groupies once they find out you're very much involved with someone?" There was a faint smile when she said it.

"Something you don't have to worry about, trust me. I'm not the same now as I was then."

She nodded. "I know, sweetheart." She looked at him. "Do you still want to be with me - even if we're in two different places?"

"You know I do," he said. "My concern is with you. I hate to admit that that man put doubts in my head, but that's what he did. He can do a lot when I'm not here and I worry about his influence on you. I shouldn't, I know," he shrugged, "but there it is."

"He's good at that, probably one of the best. Cabal leaders are used to getting their own way and have some of the best ways of mind screwing you with their words until you do doubt what you were so sure of -- or you join the Cabal."

She looked back down at her hands and then looked over to him. "I want to be with you, Johnny. My place is with you and I belong with you. That's something that no one can make me doubt that. The only worries I've had about it is if I'm being fair to you."

There, she had finally said it.

"You worry about being fair to me when you'll be the one having to deal with the Cabals and their head games." He shook his head, gave her a half-hearted grin. "Don't ever change, Savannah. Not ever."

"I worry about it because as much as I'm your life, you're mine too, Johnny. I know I can't always keep the people in my life from trying to mess things up with us to get my life to go they way they want, but I also know that the only one who gets to decide if he doesn't want me around any longer is you. Not Benicio or Troy or the Cabals or anyone else. You."

Her voice was still soft, but there was a small quaver in it.

His features softened and he said nothing to that, he only reached out, extending his hand to her, palm up.

Savannah's face also softened as she got up from the floor and walked over to put her hand into his.

Bringing her hand to his mouth, he kissed the back softly, tenderly, and then looked up at her, reaching to pull her into his arms.

Savannah looked down into his face when he kissed her hand and when he reached for her she was immediately in his arms, holding onto him.
