Friday Evening, Room 217

Savannah had decided to stay in the dorms today -- more specifically in her room. She just wasn't feeling up to a large group of people right now and she knew that any place she went, there would be groups of people. She and Johnny would probably end up having more serious talks before he graduated now that they weren't pretending like it wasn't happening. She was actually a little more stable about it now that she knew they'd talk about plans and things for after...

She was also trying desperately not to think about everyone else leaving -- or what her mom was going to do after graduation. She had this fear that the Fates would decide she didn't need Eve any longer and take her away again.

This would be one of the many reasons Savannah was sitting cross-legged in the middle of the bed with her sketchbook. She had sketched all of the kids they had and she was trying to figure out if she had time to make it into a few paintings as graduation gifts.

After work, Eve stopped by Savannah's room. She knocked at the door before poking her head in. "Hey, you."

She looked up. "Hey mom. Come on in."

"How's it going?" Eve asked, plopping herself down on the bed.

"It's going. How about you?"

"Cue me flailing about graduation," Eve said, making a face. "How did I let this get away from me? Oh, right. Severe case of not wanting to graduate."

"Yeah, I'm not so happy about this graduation thing, either," she admitted.

"I pretty much have no idea what I'm doing. And I never did anything like those pesky college applications, so that's straight out."

"You don't want to go to school any more?"

"I do, it's just... seriously, what kind of decent college am I going to get into now, with applications so very closed?"

Savannah looked at her. "We have connections no one else has, Mom. If you want to go to school, you know Benicio will get you in."

"I know, and I'm grateful, but..." Eve frowned. "It'd feel really weird to ask him. I might be the family's ward, but even so."

Savannah picked at the blanket. "You should talk to him, Mom. Unless..." She bit her lip. "Are the Fates going to take you away from me now that you're finishing high school?"

"If they're planning on it, they haven't told me about it," Eve said, frowning again. "And like hell if I'm going to let them do it."

"I've got cheeseburgers and fries," Johnny said, walking in and kicking the door shut behind him with the heel of his boot.

Savannah looked up with a smile and set her sketchbook aside. "Hi love."

"Hope you're hungry," he said, moving to sit down on the bed in front of her, placing the bag of diner food between them. "I got you a double."

"Ooh, a double," she said with a smile.

Not that she was hungry, but she'd eat because she knew he'd be happy.

He would. She needed to eat and the cheeseburgers were awesomely made. He had seen to it. Digging in the bag, he pulled out her paper wrapped one first and handed it to her before he dug back in for his.

"What've you been doing?"

She took the burger and shook her head. "Not doing much. Working on some sketches and stuff." She shrugged. "Nothing major."

"Been a perfect day to just chill," he commented before he took a big bite of his burger.

"I've enjoyed just relaxing." She took a small bite.

Johnny watched her, grinning. "Mhm. Think it's gonna be a relaxing evening too."

She grinned. "Does this relaxing include time with my husband?"

"It does," he nodded, his look now a bit devilish. "I was thinking about Wonder Woman... ealier."

She just about choked on her food. "You were?"
