"Hey, you've reached Savannah... well, no, you've reached her voice mail because Savannah is either at cheerleading, one of the reserve meetings, working or lost in her art. If you leave your name and number, I'll do my best to get back to you just as soon as I can.

If this is Paige, I'm fine, really. If this is Papa Benicio, we need to talk. If this is Johnny, when are you picking me up?"

"Savannah, it's me Annette." She paused and sniffled. "Johnny bitched about me with Dick's little brother last night at Caritas. Why does he keep talking about me? You have to talk to him, please. It... just isn't nice. My stomach feels sick. Please talk to him. I'll see you at the cheer thing today. Bye..."

Savannah immediately called Annette back when she got this message.

"Annette, don't worry, I'll talk to him about it. I won't have anyone talking crap about my best friend. Relax and I'll see you at the cheer thing... and then maybe we'll both go hide from our guests this weekend."
