Room 217, Tuesday Evening

After the visit to the clinic, Johnny had brought Savannah back to their rooms. After she got changed into something more comfortable, he had tucked her into the bed.

Curious by all of this, Destiny had jumped up on the bed to curl up against her, as well.

After telling him that she didn't think she should take the meds on an empty stomach, Johnny had left water beside the bed and headed out to get food.

"Stay in bed," he ordered as he left. "I'll be right back."

She kept looking at the phone, thinking that she needed to call a few people.

Anders hugged her tighter. "I know, kiddo. Still doesn't make it any easier to deal with, does it? It'll get easier eventually . . ."

That didn't help for now, though, he knew.

Anders had a feeling he was going to have to have a similar conversation with Isabel soon. For once, he felt oddly qualified to do so, and that was a bit disconcerting.

"We'll work on it," Anders promised her. "Did I ever tell you how I got hurt by the witch who possessed Phoebe once, too? I do kind of know how this feels."
