No new character this time around, but as I haven't done this since last year some time, there are some changes that need to be noted. I warn you that I do get wordy. *grins*
Phoebe Halliwell is twenty, a graduate with the Martian Fighting Class of 2007, and is from the fandom "Charmed". She is an Alumni.
Phoebe is a free spirit, however several events have happened to her in Fandom to make a her a little more serious about things than she used to be. She is a witch with the power of empathy, premonitions and the power of levitation. She has very little control over her levitation, so sometimes she ends up stuck hovering in the air. She gets premonitions of things, and I will NEVER have her getting premonitions of your characters or plottiness you are doing unless we have discussed it first. She picks up emotions from others fairly easily and negative emotions tend to make her ill or have a very bad headache if they are strong enough. Too many strong emotions in one place can tend to overwhelm her and when that happens, she will seek out a quiet and calming place.
Phoebe's family is everything to her and no matter how upset she may be with one of her sisters or her nephews, if someone messes with them, she will get in their faces. Also, saying anything against Grams if you are not a Halliwell is liable to get you into trouble. She is incredibly protective of those she loves and she can overreact about things if they are hurt. She has also adopted other friends and looks out for them as family -- the main one of these being Lana. Lana Lang is her very best friend and during one harrowing time in Fandom (AU Weekend) they started calling each other Sister-Friend. Phoebe will not put up with anyone hurting Lana or talking badly about her.
Phoebe is closest to her sister, Piper, and really, no one wants to try messing with these two sisters.
Phoebe is deeply in love with Cole Turner/Belthazor. He is her soulmate and she has gone so far as to organize a rescue mission to retrieve him from the Wastelands after she and her sisters were forced to vanquish the Source of All Evil who had possessed him. (Issues, Phoebe? Surely you jest!) She is very fiercely protective of him and sometimes has streaks of jealousy. She has immense faith in him, and will do what she can to help him in whatever he wants to do -- to a point. She has no problems with disagreeing with him if she thinks he's in the wrong. She gets angry if she thinks people are judging him unfairly or holding his past against him.
Oh, have we mentioned he's a demon?
She and Cole are also involved in an OT3 relationship with Anders -- whom they both care a great deal for. Phoebe is very protective of Anders -- and also has a lot of guilt issues of the way he was hurt when Cole and then she herself was possessed. She won't allow him to short-change himself about anything and she gets livid whenever anyone else does it.
Phoebe has a temper. She does her best to control it, but there are times that she will just lose her temper completely. This usually happens when she sees someone she cares about mistreated or in pain. She also has a very high sense of justice and gets pissed when people in Fandom have their pasts used against them for any reason. She believes very strongly in people getting second chances.
Phoebe also has a very tender heart and it has been used to manipulate her more than once into painful or dangerous situations.
One of her best friends is Veronica Mars. She and Veronica have been known to team up to cause things to happen -- Yay 2005 Boykissy and Girlkissy Events!! Because of her friendship with Veronica, Phoebe has developed some snarkiness and a tendency to surprise people with what she can come up with or is capable of. She has no qualms about calling on V to talk about some new idea she has come up with to see how to best implement it.
Phoebe lives at the Hyperion with Cole, Anders, Veronica, Piper, Logan and Angel. (It's kind of a dysfunctional Brady Bunch when you think about it.) Many of the conversations between Phoebe and Cole and Anders always seem to have some point where Phoebe is telling Cole why he can't do something to Logan that will get him in a lot of trouble.
Gwynn Hood is the only child of Robin Hood and Maid Marion. According to her favorite Uncle, she embodies her mother's temper and determination and her father's stubborness and sense of justice. She also thinks that Nottingham looks like a girl. No, really.
She is from the movie "Princess of Thieves". She is an excellent archer and in canon has only missed once. She is skilled with a sword, and is getting better with hand to hand combat. She has picked up some additional skills in Fandom -- considering who her friends her first year were, this is no surprise. Her father wants her to be more ladylike and she wants her father to appreciate and accept her for the person she is. After all, she did organize the rescue mission to get him and Will out of the Tower of London...
She has no super powers. None. She's human with mad skills in things relating to forestry and wilderness survival.
First and foremost, Gwynn and Literal are BFF. She is from the year 1199, so she is still not used to some of the expressions people use. After three years in Fandom, she has added some interesting terms to her vocabulary. She will take things literally and sometimes run with that misinterpretation if someone doesn't explain differently. (For the longest time, she thought the game of football/soccer was a war between countries.)
Whereas Gwynn and Literal are BFF, Gwynn and Tact have never actually been in the same galaxy as each other. This isn't to say that she is cruel or thoughtless. The thing is, Gwynn says what is on her mind -- no matter what it is. A good example of this is when she told her boyfriend that she hoped that they did see each other after he graduated because she would not like to have to stop kissing him. She doesn't play word games and she doesn't see the point in not saying what she really feels or thinks. She is highly likely to cause a great many *facepalms*.
She has several people she cares about. Her best friend is Eve Levine, and thinks that Willow is one of the most awesome people that she has ever met. Oh yes, Jamie Madrox taught her the word "awesome" and she likes using it. She is currently involved with Conner McKnight and their-love-is-so-not-tactful. *grin* Their conversations are hilarious in my opinion.
Gwynn often talks about "The Uncles", Uncle Will, Uncle Tuck, and Froderick. Gwynn was raised by the monks with Tuck... and Robin's band of Merry Men while Robin and Will have been fighting the Crusades. Will Scarlett is her favorite uncle because he seems to understand her and never tries to change who she is. Froderick has been her best friend since childhood. He is her confidant and the one she writes to the most. Oh, she also will talk a lot about Phillip and her King -- who lately has caused her a great amount of annoyance.
She takes duty -- any duty -- quite seriously and sometimes her ideas about what her duties are can cause some hilarious results.
Also? Her main influences in Fandom have been Eve Levine and a couple of other people. She has been in Fandom for three years and after some of the things she has seen/found out about her future, she's not so sure she'll be returning to Briton to stay after she graduates. He main goals have been to keep people back home from finding out all about the weirdness of Fandom. So far, her luck in that regard has held.
Savannah Levine is from the "Women of the Otherworld" series of books by Kelley Armstrong.
Savannah came to Fandom between the events of "Dime Store Magic" and "Industrial Magic". Obviously, timelines have been tweaked, making Savannah a bit older than in canon. After a couple of years of trying to get the a new Coven started up and provide better stability for Savannah after all of the events with her father and Leah O'Donnell, Paige and Lucas decide to send her to a boarding school. They figure that she'll be safer there while they are trying to deal with Cabals, sorcerors who want both Paige and Savannah dead and any number of other threats. They also were under the impression that this would give Savannah a chance at normalcy. That impression lasted only until the very first Parents Weekend that Paige showed up to investigate things. It went... well, it went.
One of the major changes from the books (besides the age tweaking) is that Savannah has already met Benicio Cortez and has him wrapped around her fingers. She is the ward of his favourite son, after all -- even if she won't agree to being assigned a bodyguard. Benicio will give Savannah almost anything she asks for -- and would love it if she would make an agreement to work for him. This... is not happening. He is also trying to find ways to get her to break up with her boyfriend. Again, not happening.
Savannah is mischievous and fun-loving. She doesn't trust easily, but when she trusts you, you have a friend and defender for as long as you stay on her good side and do not betray her. She's an imp. She likes to have fun. She thinks life is too short to be too serious. Pranks? She's probably right in the middle of them. Practical jokes? As long as no one gets hurt. If they get hurt, she thinks they did something to deserve it. If you piss her off, you'll know about it as she is very blunt and up front about things like that. Savannah is a vengeful little thing and she will sometimes try to get even for some slight or on behalf of someone she cares about that has been hurt or wronged. She is not naturally malicious. In fact, she is the opposite. She just doesn't like people she cares about getting hurt. She does have temper issues that she has been trying to work on.
Her mother, Eve, is back from the dead and in a bizarre twist of fate, is only a year older than her and also graduating this year. She also has a half-brother, Sean Nast, that lives in town and whom she is very close to. She works at Sean's store, Nast Sporting Goods, and consider's heself his assistant manager.
She's involved quite seriously with Johnny Storm and is not dealing well with Graduation and his imminent departure at the end of the summer. He is her world (much to the dismay of some people) and she is very loyal and protective of him. And yes, she calls herself his wife after they got married (whilst drunk) during the Spring Break cruise. This is also much to the dismay of the people who received the drunken phone messages from her that night.
She is the adopted baby sister of Wyatt Halliwell and little sib by default of Samuel Anders. Chris Halliwell is her Whitelighter - and he always seems to know when she is doing something shes not supposed to. Her best friends are Summer Roberts, Isabel Evans, K-Mart. She also considers Sam Winchester a close friend and is protective of him - because he needs it. :)
Her favorite teachers by far are Abby Irene, Ghanima Atreides... and Anakin Skywalker. These are the adults she trusts implicitly, and if she is in trouble, these will be the adults she turns to first.
Important Notes About Savannah:-:
Yes, she is a witch and a sorceror. However, she is not like a Halliwell witch where she just has her powers and she can go from there. Any spell Savannah wants to do, she first has to learn. Then she has to take the time to prepare it to be cast. The more she casts the spell in a short period of time, the more the power of the spell diminishes. Say she casts a "knock-back" spell. The first one she throws hits her target and knocks them through the wall. The second one she throws hits her target, but only causes him to slam back into the wall. The third one she throws hits her target but he just stumbles back slightly. The fourth one she casts, does nothing. She will get tired out from doing spells too often in too short of a period of time. Her spells sometimes do fail. She is seventeen and though she is the daughter of a witch and a sorceror, she is still learning her powers. So, she will make mistakes. Also, though she has demon blood in her veins, she DOES NOT have any demon powers as far as I know from the books. She just has witch powers and sorcery powers. Witches and Sorcerors in her world are enemies, which is why it was interesting to everyone that the heir to one of the largest Sorceror Cabals (think mob, but with sorcerors) and a powerful but renegade-type witch fell in love and had a daughter. Her canon and magic has no rules about "Personal Gain" and she has been known to use her magic for entertainment purposes. She's very powerful, but most of the time she's using her powers and magic for defending her friends. She does study her powers and any magic books she can find. She's serious about her powers and who she is, because she knows what it waiting for her once she leaves Fandom.
Also, she hates, hates, HATES The Fates. If it comes up in conversation, she will tell you they suck and why. Chris and Wyatt are the only angels she wants to have anything to do with.
~~ABOUT ANNJA AND ROGUE ANGEL~~
Rogue Angel is a series of books all written under the pseudonym of "Alex Archer". The books focus on young archaeologist Annja Creed -- who is apparently the spiritual descendant of Joan of Arc. Yes, really. The books always have some sort of artifact that Annja either is investigating -- or she needs to protect from shifty people. The series starts off in France with the first book... but the series tends to go all over the world depending on what Annja is involved in. While all of this is going on and she's working for a tabloid news show called "Chasing History's Monsters", she's trying to figure out what exactly having the sword of Joan of Arc and being this century's chosen protector of good really means.
In the first book, Annja is in Lozere, France, to hunt down evidence of La Bete, the Beast of Gevaudan, rumored to have killed close to 100 people between 1764 and 1767. Instead of investigating dusty bookshops and hiking in the Cevennes Mountains, however, Annja finds herself fighting to protect an ancient charm she's uncovered from 500-year-old men, a dangerous occultist anxious for profit and a brotherhood of monks desperate to keep safe the charm's secret. During this, she touches the shards of Joan of Arc's sword -- when it reforms and disappears. Annja later finds out that she can call the sword to her at will... and when she lets go of it or sends it away, it goes into wait until she needs it again.
~~ANNJA IN FANDOM:~~
When Annja touches the sword in France, not only does it reformulate at her touch, but her age is reduced to the teenager that Joan was when she was burned at the stake. Knowing that there is no way that she can show her face to those that know her -- or to the boss of "Chasing History's Monsters" -- like this, Roux looks for a place where Annja and the sword will be safe until they can find a way to fix what has happened. After Annja makes a phone call with her producer Doug to arrange for a leave of absence from the show, Roux informs Annja that he has found a boarding school that they can stash her in for right now. Roux enrolls her at the school with instructions to keep the sword as secret as she can, while studying what affects her wielding the sword has on her and her usual abilities. He will be expecting weekly progress reports of what she has learned about the sword -- as well as how she is doing in her classwork since she is technically a student.
~~THINGS TO KNOW~~
ANNJA: Annja used to be a normal human woman with no super powers that she was aware of. She was very athletic and enjoys many extreme type sports. She works out regularly and finds herself quite happy living on dig sites or staying in the middle of the jungle because of her physical stamina and fortitude. She has studied martial arts and knows how to use firearms. This have changed and intensified in some aspects since the sword came to her.
THE SWORD: When Joan of Arc was burned at the stake for heresy, her sword was shattered and two men were cursed to scour the ends of the earth to find the pieces and reassemble the sword. Joan was a Champion, one whose fate was tied closely to the struggle against the darkness that always lies in wait.
Annja was on hand when the final piece was found, and again when the pieces were all put together. At her touch, the Sword reformed and became magically tied to her. She has the ability to place the Sword in otherwhere, where it can't be seen or taken, and draw it out with just a moment's notice.
No one can take the Sword from Annja. Even when she throws the blade at a foe, she can call it back to her hand. Time and space mean nothing to the Sword. It serves Annja and may, although no one is certain yet, draw evil to Annja so that it can be destroyed.
In Fandom, she has only told one person the full story of the sword -- Adam Park. She has trusted him with the whole story. Of course, people probably noticed during the zombie invasion that she was suddenly wielding a ornate sword in batle when she hadn't been carrying any weapons earlier. She has told Hoshi about being 27 in a 17 year old's body -- and the two of them together are dangerous when Gremlin bites and drunken weddings happen. Being a journalist, Annja tapes everything.
She currently works at Coyote Medicine on Thursdays.
As for me? I'm Mylia. I live in the DC area and work at NASA. I can usually access things from work... but in August and September I can be frazzled and my availability shifts due to fiscal year end stuff. I've been in the game forever and I like playing with all kinds of people. If you ever need my girls for anything, feel free to hit me up. I'm on Gtalk as GwynnConnerOTP (Yes, there is a story behind that) and can be reached through e-mail at empathicvisions@gmail.com or GwynnConnerOTP@gmail.com. When I remember to log in, I can be found on AIM as Owned By FH or By Muse Enslaved or Ninja Enabler.
One final note. I am not easily enabled AT ALL and any one who tells you different is a horrible liar. :)
