Room 217, Saturday Afternoon

There were the remains of a shattered radio on the far side of the room. There was an upset brunette on the floor between the two beds with her chin on her knees.

These two things... were quite possibly related as Savannah had downloaded the radio broadcast from last night.

Currently, she was torn between three decisions:

1) Call Paige and ask her how soon she could leave.
2) Never leave her room again.
3) Hunt down some squirrels and ask to use the Winchester's catapult...

Savannah was hurt and angry as she couldn't believe that Phoebe would have said something like that about her. She was tempted to go have it out with her, but there were two things stopping her : Eve and Anders. She didn't think that Phoebe telling people she was having sex would count as a reason for them to let her do serious harm to the other girl.

So, she was sitting here in her room... hoping that no one else had heard that rumor.

She was hoping that Johnny hadn't heard that broadcasr and thought she was telling lies about him.

She also was praying that Chris hadn't heard it, because she had told him that she hadn't been having sex... but if he found out Phoebe was saying this... he would never believe her.

Savannah was still casting and ignoring Wyatt. "You have five seconds to get the fuck out of my room, Summer."

Wyatt grabbed Savannah's wrist and jerked her hand down. "I said knock it off," he said firmly. "You hurt Summer with a spell and you could get expelled." He paused, then added, "And Chris will be upset."

He glanced over at Summer. "What's going on?"

Summer glared at Savannah. "Ask her."

Savannah was so upset she was shaking and there were tears of both anger and other emotions in her eyes. "I didn't do anything wrong! But your aunt told Summer that I was having sex with Johnny and I'm not! She came here and attacked me!" She shook her head. "I told her to leave and she said she wouldn't unless I promised to stay away from Chris."

"Oooookay," Wyatt said slowly. "Why would Phoebe tell Summer that? And Summer, I thought you had a boyfriend or something, so why are you on Savannah's back about Chris?"

"Chris is my friend," Summer explained. "I'm just trying to protect him from people like her."

It was the people like her comment that broke Savannah's tenuous hold on her tears. She pulled away from Wyatt and went across the room. "Wyatt... get her the hell out of here." She had ducked her head so her hair would hide her face. The last thing she wanted to do was cry in front of Summer. "Please," she whispered. "Just make her go."

"Summer," Wyatt said quietly, "let me deal with this, okay? Chris is my brother, you know I'm not going to let him get hurt."

Summer nodded. "Fine, I have nothing more to say to her."

With that, she turned and walked out of the room.

Savannah listened to her leave and nodded. "Thanks, Wyatt. You should probably go, too." Her voice was really soft.

Wyatt closed the door behind Summer. "Not until you tell me what's going on," he said. "I've heard stuff about you and Chris and you and Johnny on the radio, but you know how much crack the squirrels are on."

"I've gone on dates with both Chris and Johnny... and they both know about it. I'm getting to know Chris and he and I have been talking a lot... as have I and Johnny. I haven't had sex with Johnny and I don't know why your aunt would say that I was. I thought she was nice." She sniffled, not looking up. "Chris knows I'm not, too, and then I heard the radio this morning and... next thing I know Summer is here and attacking me." She shook her head. "I would never hurt Chris, Wyatt, never. I'm not like that" She looked up and it was obvious she was crying. "And if you believe that I am... then you can get out, too."

Wyatt sat down on the edge of Savannah's bed. "Do you think I would tell you to ask my brother out if I thought you were some kind of skank?" he said. "But you should know that Chris is the type I thought you wanted to be -- strictly one on one, not playing the field."

"He is, which is why I'm taking the time to get to know him, Wyatt. He and I get along really well and both of us are trying to get to know each other and see what's going to happen." She leaned against the wall with her arms wrapped around her waist. "We went out last night." She shook her head, trying to stop crying in front of Wyatt. "Johnny has been staying here because we're protesting Princilady, and I have even talked to Anders about having a co-ed commune for the displaced here in my room." She sighed. "You know me, you know that I'm not ready for sex yet, and for your aunt to say I'm sleeping around..."

"Why would she say something like that?" Wyatt said. "It doesn't sound like her to spread lies."

"I don't know!" She said, being upset again. "I thought she was a nice person! She's you and Chris's aunt, Anders loves her and my... Eve thinks she's great, so why would she lie about me like that?"

Wyatt shrugged. "If she said it, then someone probably lied to her, too, and she was being protective of Chris. She doesn't want anyone to break his heart."

"It's nice to know that she thinks that I'm some horrible skank that would hurt him," she said bitterly.

"Welcome to high school," Wyatt said. "Seriously, I'll talk to her. How do you know she said anything?"

"Summer said she did before she attacked me." She put her hand up to the scratches on her face. "As much as I wanted to hurt her... thanks for stopping me."

"I'll talk to Summer, too," Wyatt said. "God, what is it with chicks protecting Chris?"

"He's a sweetheart?" Savannah asked. "And hey, if I thought someone was screwing with you, I would be all over their ass."

"Good to know," Wyatt said, grinning. "You going to be okay now?"

"Of course." Savannah shrugged and nodded. "Keep Summer and Phoebe away from me and I'll be fine... just like I always am." Her voice was more sad and hurt than angry.

Wyatt got up and moved to Savannah's side, putting his hand on her arm. "I'm sure they'll apologize when they realize this is just a misunderstanding," he said.
