The Palazzo Hotel In Las Vegas, Thursday Morning

When Johnny decided to take his girl away for rest and relaxation, he did it in style.

Calling Isabel, they decided that the best way for Savannah to see everyone -- and get the rest that Johnny was insistent that she needed -- was for everyone to meet up in one place. The hotel Isabel worked in seemed just the thing since she needed to work as many hours as she could.

Johnny probably would have booked the rooms himself, but he didn't get the chance to. While he was in the shower, Savannah had used Benicio's credit card and secured three suites of rooms for her and Johnny, Isabel and Wyatt, and Summer and Chris.

Not to be outdone, the first thing Savannah saw when they opened the doors to their rooms was that it was filled with roses of every imaginable color. Waiting for her in the bedroom on the bed was a stuffed white tiger that was almost as big as she was. Thie led to tears and Savannah just holding onto Johnny for a long time.

She and Johnny had checked into their last night, and again, he had held her, telling her stories all night when she couldn't sleep. She promised that she would rest and sleep soon.

Now though, Savannah wasn't doing any of the resting yet that Johnny wanted her to do and she could feel his concern when she was putting on concealer to cover the dark circles beneath her eyes.

Wyatt was still rather clueless. All he knew was that something was up with Savannah and nobody would tell him why. So come morning, he was knocking on the door to Savannah and Johnny's suite. Somebody better tell him something or he was going to assume the worst. What the worst was, he wasn't sure.

Savannah's eyes flashed worry at Johnny before she was at the door and opening it. When she saw Wyatt standing there, she faltered slightly as she started to hug him.

"Wyatt?" She asked in a hesitant tone. Swallowing she looked him over. "Are you Pain, or are you the hard-hearted sword-wielding bastard that shoves everyone who cares about him away because it hurts too much to let them close to you?"

Yeah, someone wasn't exactly doing her best right now.

Chris and Summer orbed in a little bit later.

"I think this vacation is just what we need," Summer said to Chris, smiling. Though there was a hint of worry in her voice.

Oh, she had no idea. But Chris hadn't been about to tell her.

"Yeah, definitely."

And then they might need another vacation.

Johnny came up behind her, rested his hands on her shoulders lightly, and said: "Do you know what I would like to do to you right now?" His eyes met hers in the reflection of the mirror.

Johnny was seated on the sofa, staring over at the doorway. He managed to give Savannah an encouraging smile before she opened the door.

This was going to go well, right?

Sometime after arriving with Chris, Summer was staring out the window. Though she wasn't really paying attention to what was going on outside. She was worried about Savannah and really wanted someone to tell her what was going on.

"And we're in Vegas," Summer added. "And I don't have to listen to Taylor ramble all day. Best vacation ever."

She was trying to keep things light for now. There would probably be more to worry about later.

"Yeah, uh, Taylor is special," Chris agreed. "You're moving in next week, right?"

"That is one word to describe her," Summer chuckled. "And yeah, that's the plan. I can't wait."

"Me either," Chris said. "Grandpa is excited too."

Victor kept saying the house needed a feminine touch. Chris couldn't wait until he realized that wasn't the kind of girl Summer was.

She leaned back against him, her eyes never leaving his in the mirror. "Something that involves me not wanting you to ever stop?"

"You could say that," he whispered and then leaned foward, still keeping eye contact as he whispered exactly what he would like to do to her. And straightening, he added: "But not until those dark circles beneath your eyes vanish. Which means, my sweet, you must rest."

Turning around, he was grinning just enough to warrant a smack and proceeded to finish dressing.

Savannah came up to stand next to her and squeezed her hand. "You are never allowed to die on me, okay, Summer? Not until way after we're old and gray and can hardly bitch at people anymore."

She was waiting until all of them were there before she told them what happened. She was pretty sure that she couldn't go through the story more than once, after telling Johnny the whole thing finally.

She turned around and probably would have smacked him lightly on his arm for his teasing -- which is what would normally happen -- but her arm faltered and she dropped her hand.

"Meanie," she stuck her tongue at him and turned back to the mirror, trying to figure out if she should just use magic to make herself look better so no one else would be as worried as Johnny was. "A glamour spell wouldn't take that much energy..."

"So he really doesn't mind that I'm moving in?" Summer said.

"Nope, not at all," Chris said. "The Manor is huge. Plus he missed having me and Wyatt around when we were both gone."

"What can I say? You love me," he said, doing the buttons on his shirt.

"No, Savannah. No glamouring yourself up. You're beautiful. Besides, everyone who is coming is going to find out what happened, right? Right." He looked over at her. "That energy can be put to better use. Later."

Something bad must have happened for Savannah to be like this, but Summer wasn't going to push her to talk about it until she was ready. "Don't worry, I plan to be around for a long time. We're gonna be like the Golden Girls."

"Now you are both home," Summer said, grinning. "And you get me, too."

Chris grinned back. "Guy couldn't be happier, really."

"More than anything." She turned away from the mirror to watch him. "Johnny?" She said softly. "In case I didn't say it before when I was falling apart on you? Thank you for coming to get me."

"Awww," Summer replied, leaning closer to hug him.
