After coming back from sketching at the beach, Savannah took a quick shower and then headed back to her room to relax. She pulled out one of the grimoires and her leatherbound journal and went back to studying spell work and making notes for things that didn't make sense -- or she knew for a fact just would not work.

After all, she had been doing this most of her life.

She was studying quite comfortably on her bed, and was also thinking about talks she needed to have with Eve, Wyatt and Anders. She really could use some advice right about now.

Still not sure what to make of his conversation with Johnny in Potpourri, Chris decided to knock on Savannah's door and ask her what was going on with them.

"It's open," Savannah called out absently, her attention still focused on the grimoire in her lap.

Chris opened the door and paused in the doorway when he saw Savannah leaning over a book. "I can come back another time if you're busy."

Savannah looked up and her face lit up with a smile when she saw who it was. "Chris, hey!" She shook her head. "Not bussy, just doing some studying of the grimoires as usual."

"Okay," Chris said, entering the room fully and closing the door behind him. He went to sit at her desk. "Do you have a few minutes to talk?"

"Of course," she said as she shut the book and placed her journal on top of it before giving him her full attention. "What's up?"

"I, uh... met Johnny today," Chris said, not exactly meeting her eyes.

"Okay?" She looked confused. "Did he say something to upset you?"

No, it hadn't occured to Savannah that she hadn't told Chris about Thursday night, yet.

"Not exactly," Chris said. "But... well... he made it sound like you two were still dating and I was just wondering what was going on."

Savannah groaned. "Thursday night? I forgot to tell you about that because I was more focused the next day on telling you about Sean."

She moved to where she could sit on the foot of the bed and look at him.

"What is going on is that Johnny and I have gone out a couple of times. He wants to get to know me better and wants to spend time with me. That's fine with me. However, I also want to get to know you better and spend time with you because I really have enjoyed the time we have spent together."

She shook her head. "I wasn't trying to keep secrets from you, Chris, honestly. Friday was me telling you about Sean... and then going out with you that night and having a wonderful time. I was out with you and not thinking about anyone else. That wouldn't have been right, anyway."

Chris gave her a shy smile. "Okay. Getting to know each other better is a good plan in my book. It was just..."

He trailed off, not wanting to bring up what Johnny had said that had really made him wonder.

"Chris... what is it?"

"He, well..." Chris sighed. "He said you guys had a very special and private night on Thursday."

Savannah smiled. "And he made it sound like it may have been private private?"

Chris nodded. "Yeah."

She shook her head. "It was a very nice night out with him. We went to a dinner and then to a club, and then we walked around D.C. for the rest of the night." She gave him a soft smile. "Chris, it was nothing like he may have made you think. I'm a virgin and probably will be for a little while."

Eve, Anders, Lana and Wyatt would probably try to make sure of that.

Cue a furious blush spreading across Chris's cheeks. "That's good to know," he said. "Um... same here."

He wondered how lame it made him sound to admit that.

Savannah didn't think it sounded lame at all, and was beginning to get a good idea of why Wyatt and Anders and Lana liked the idea of her getting to know Chris and dating him.

"That's good to know, too."

Chris finally managed to meet her eyes and smile at her. "So... do you want to go out again sometime?"

Savannah nodded. "I do if you do... and I'll make sure I don't keep secrets from you even accidentally, okay?"

"I'd like to," Chris said. "And I know you weren't trying to keep any secrets."

Savannah smiled. "Good then."

Chris smiled back. "I'll let you get back to your studying," he said, standing up. "I'll call you so we can figure out something to do this week, okay?"

Savannah nodded, standing up as well. "That sounds good to me, Chris."

After a moment of hesitation, Chris walked over and kissed her gently.

Savannah smiled and kissed him back.

"I'll talk to you later, Savannah," Chris said, grinning at her.

"Count on it," she grinned back.

Knock knock.

Savannah looked up from the grimoire she was once more studying. "It's open."

Johnny walked in and closed the door behind him. "Hey," he said, eyeing her. "What's up?"

She smiled at him, closing the book. "Studying some fire spells." She cocked her head. "Let me guess. Chris?"

He cocked a brow. "Let me guess; he's already been here?"

"Yeah, he told me that he had met you today and he wanted to know if I was still dating you. I said yes, as you said you wanted to get to know me better and spend more time with me and I was okay with that." She raised an eyebrow at him. "Johnny, what exactly did you tell him we did Thursday night?"

"I didn't tell him anything," he said, then added, "other than it was a private sort of date and you wouldn't probably talk about it." Johnny stared at her. "You planning on dating him, Savannah?"

Savannah gave him a soft smile. "He asked me out again, yes." She gave him a confused look. "You said you wanted to spend time with me and get to know me more, and that you weren't sure that you were ready for a serious relationship. I'm fine with that. I want to get to know you and see you and see what happens. Why are you upset if I go out on dates with someone else? Chris is a nice guy that I am getting to know. It's not like he's trying to get me into bed with him."

"I'm not upset. Did I say I was upset? I'm not upset." Johnny was not upset. He just remembers the way Chris looked at him this afternoon. "Do you think I'm trying to get you into bed?" Cause he wouldn't mind, really, but man was he so not going to say that.

"I'm glad, because I don't want you upset with me." Savannah laughed softly. "No, you have never treated me like that at all. You've been very nice and been honest aboutr how you feel and what you would like. You have never once tried to get me into bed --- that and you know what would happen if you did."

He looked down, shifted position, "Just for the fun of saying so...what uh, would happen if I tried to get you in bed? But you know, just for fun. I mean not in bed! I mean just saying so! For fun...you know."

Savannah blinked and then she shook her head.

"I would say that I would not want to feel like a conquest and anyone that wanted to be around me only for sex would find himself making me a new doorway."

She really hoped that that wasn't the only reason Johnny had said he wanted to get to know her better and that he really liked her.

If it was... well...

New doorway and on her mother's hit list.

"Right. Cause I would never say that to you, Savannah. Never." He moved to sit by her. "You know that. You know me better, I hope."

Savannah smiled at him. "I do know you would never say anything like that to me, Johnny. That's not something I'm worried about at all. I do know you better than that."

He smiled warmly, genuinely, and stood. "I'll leave you to your book. I just wanted to stop by..." Reaching out, he moved to cup her cheek, to caress his thumb back over her soft skin. "Can I have a kiss before I leave?"

Savannah nodded and stood as well.

He closed the gap between them, his hand on her cheek once more, and he bent his head, taking her mouth in a soft, warm kiss...

Savannah put an arm around his waist as she kissed him.

Johnny teased her with his tongue, kissing her deeper, more passionately. It was a moment or two later that he finally pulled back. With a gentle kiss at the corner of her lips, he stepped away towards the door. "I'll see you later, Savannah. Let's get together, okay?"

Savannah nodded. "You know how to find me, Johnny. Just let me know."
