Room 217, Late Saturday Night

Savannah had once again made a bit of a nest on the floor with plenty of blankets and pillows. Storm and Kristofer had curled up on the makeshift bed and gone to sleep not too long ago. Johnny had gone out to take care of a few things, so after the kids had fallen asleep, she had done some sketching of them in her sketchbook. After her initial confusion, Destiny had decide to curl up on the opposite side of Storm and fall asleep as well.

Silence had descended over room 217, and Savannah added to it by casting a silence spell around the kids' sleeping area. She didn't want anything to disturb them and keep them from getting a good night's sleep. Once everything was cleaned up and she was sure the kids were asleep for the night, she pulled out a glass and a bottle of flavored Vodka. Dimming the lights, she went to sit in the middle of the bed and poured herself a drink.

She had a son with Summer, Dalton. Johnny had a daughter with Chris, Phyre. Johnny had a son with K-Mart, LJ.

She looked down into her glass. "I'm sorry. It just... it just came out."

It was the most logical reason in her mind that he and K-Mart had a daughter in another universe.

Johnny didn't want to think why he and K-Mart would have a daughter. It boggled his mind. But he knew it wouldn't be because Savannah had died.

"I know you're sorry, but you need to know... if something were to ever happen to you... that would be... it would crush me. There would be no one, ever, to take your place. Ever, Savannah."

Savannah took a breath and then reached out to touch his hand. She was temporarily at a loss for words.

She knew how much Johnny loved her and how much it would hurt him if anything happened to her, but he had never put it in those terms before. But, she knew exactly what he meant and she understood completely. If anything happened to Johnny, she wouldn't be able to continue on and no one would ever be able to replace him, either.

He held her hand, not quite ready to meet her eyes. It must be the kids, the vodka, the talk of dying... it had him choking up and he'd just as soon not get misty eyed in front of her.

"What kind of plans are you thinking for tomorrow?"

She wouldn't mind if he got misty eyed in front of her. God knew she was having a hard time not doing it to him lately. It seemed to her that she was trying to keep the tears at bay and force the smiles to her face because she didn't want him to think about how sad she was going to be -- or how sad she was thinking about what was going to happen much too soon for her liking.

She blinked her eyes, taking a drink from her glass, and realizing that she needed a refill.

"I'm not sure," she said quietly. "I haven't planned anything, yet."

"We'll decide in the morning," he replied, reaching out to caress her arm.

Savannah refilled her glass and nodded. "Tomorrow is a good time to make decisions and plans," she agreed. She hated that her voice wavered a little.

He noticed. He downed the rest of his vodka and set his cup aside. Then he moved in behind her, stretching his legs out on either side of her. Wrapping his arms around her middle, he whispered near her ear, "Everything is going to be all right, sweetheart."

Savannah leaned back against him, her hands resting on his arms in front of her. She closed her eyes and nodded. "I know it will," she whispered softly. She could feel tears behind her eyelids, so she squeezed them even tighter shut.
