Secluded Part Of The Beach, Tuesday Night

After talking to/yelling at Hannibal, Savannah found that not even the music club made her feel better.

That would be why by the time it got dark, Savannah was on her favorite part of the beach working out her frustrations against her practice boulders with force bolts. She had been careful to set up the correct shields this time and was shooting bolt after bolt at the boulders.

She would probably be here for awhile.

Johnny was out flying, 'cause that's what he did sometimes. It was enjoyable and it was entertaining and...

It was indeed her as was evidenced by another bolt of magic slamming into the boulder and curses coming from her in a mixture of Latin another language.

He flew down, knowing that she was only ever out here when she was upset, or practicing, and she usually always mentioned when she was going to practice.

So... he wondered what or who, had upset her.

"Hey, babe," he said, tentatively walking closer when he had his footing.

One of the things Savannah now prided herself in was her self-control with her powers when others were around. When she heard Johnny, she clenched her fists, her entire body shaking.

"Give me a second, love," she whispered. "Please.

He did. He stood where he was, keeping his distance. Though he was wondering what the hell happened.

Savannah took a few deep breaths and then her shoulders relaxed a little. She loosened her hands from the fists and turned to look at him.

"Thank you. I have it under control now."

"What's up?" he asked without preamble.

She didn't say anything at first, just moved to him and hugged him tightly.

"There are times that I am so glad that we told each other how we felt instead of hurting each other by avoiding it," she finally said.

His arms went around her and he held her tight, listening. And he didn't say anything, just let her say what she had to say first.

"Because I remember how I felt when you were out with other people and I wasn't about to say anything no matter how it hurt." She was still holding onto him. "But then you felt the same way and we told each other and I am so glad we did."

He kissed the top of her head, warming her with his body. "Love... what's going on?"

"Hannibal and Angela. Any idiot could see there's emotions there... well any idiot but them it seems. I talked to Angela yesterday and she was so unhappy." She sighed. "So I went to talk to Hannibal today and he's an idiot."

She was not about to tell him that he had hurt her feelings, oh no.

He pulled back just enough to look down into her face. "Sweetheart? What did you do?"

It's a good thing, yes, that she was keeping that from him.

Tahiri ended up down at the beach after her weird encounter in the preserve, and ended up drifting toward the area where Savannah was.

"People are stupid sometimes," she announced without preamble.

Savannah was surprised and stopped herself from throwing another bolt at the boulder when she recognized her little sib's voice.

"Yeah they are. Who was stupid on you?"

"I don't know. Some girl from the gun club and that cranky girl with the weird voice who sounds like she'd fit right in with . . ." Tahiri trailed off and shook her head. "They were fighting over something dumb in the woods."

She eyed the rocks, and Savannah, curiously. "What are you doing?"

Savannah stretched her neck.

"Working on powers instead of throwing things at my friend who is being a colossal idiot," she explained. "Less people get hurt this way."

Tahiri looked a little twitchy. "Those looked like Force lightning," she said dubiously.

Savannah looked confused. "I don't know what that is, Tahiri. This is one of my sorcerer powers that I know and have to practice to get better at it."

This was probably not the time to explain about the fact she had lots of people that would love to kill her.

"Sorcerer powers?" Tahiri repeated. That sounded way too close to Orloc, back in Bast Castle when she was nine oh god why can I reference JJK off the top of my head why. "That's not some kind of dark side thing, is it?"

Savannah remembered having a talk with Professor Skywalker about darkness and dark powers.

She looked sad and then shook her head. "I'm not evil, Tahiri. I'm a witch. This is one of the things I was taught in order to defend myself from people wanting to hurt me."

Tahiri still hadn't forgotten what her Jaina had done on the escape from Myrkr, and she bit her lip. "Force lightning is something only dark side types do. If you're sure it's not that, though . . ."

She shrugged one shoulder, but stored this away for more thought. "Anyway. Who else is being stupid?"

Savannah shook her head. "It's not."

She sighed. "Hannibal is being a dumb boy."

"Some boys tend to be like that," Tahiri allowed. Most of them, in her opinion, except for two. Well, three, but she had a particular bias toward a couple. "Dumb enough that you're out here flinging bolts at rocks?"

"I figured it was better than throwing heavy objects at his head," she admitted. "I don't want to hurt him, just knock sense into him."
