Savannah had spent a long time getting ready for her date with Johnny. She had wanted to look nice for their date and wanted things to be perfect. It seemed to her like they deserved to have a nice time with everything that had happened.

She had yet to inform Eve or the big brother-types she had adopted/had adopted her that she was going out with him tonight.

She wanted the two of them to enjoy themselves... and not have him feel like he was being grilled.

This would be why she was running a brush through her hair one more time and then sitting down to wait for him.

Johnny was there, on time, showered, semi-shaved cause he liked it that way, and ready to enjoy his evening with Savannah. He brushed his knuckles across the door and waited patiently.

Savannah opened the door with a smile. "Hey, Johnny. You look great."

His eyes swept over her and he was smiling big, "Savannah, you look hot." He was going for beautiful, honest. "And thanks."

Savannah grinned up at him. "Thanks, Johnny." She really was happy to see him. "I'd offer you something to drink, but I haven't stocked the mini fridge yet."

"No, problem Savannah, I'm not thirsty anyhow. Besides we'll just be getting something later." he said, smiling down at her. "Who do you room with?"

Savannah shook her head. "With no one, now. My roommate went back home, so I have a room to myself. It's kind of nice most of the times."

"Oh. A room to yourself?" No, he was not having any sort of thoughts. Maybe just one. One couldn't hurt anything, especially if he kept it to himself. "You like that? Being alone in here?"

"It gets lonely sometimes, but the privacy can be kind of nice." She smiled. "Sometimes it's nice not to have to worry about a roommate suddenly coming in."

"Yeah, I can get that. All alone, walking around naked if you want, er--" Johnny didn't mean to say that. "I mean. You know, if you walk around naked cause I don't know people's preferences or anything."

Savannah looked up at him with a grin. "Is that what you do, Johnny," she teased.

"Well, yeah," he answered honestly without thinking. "Not so much here because I do have a roommate. But when alone in my room? It's just the comfortable way to go."

Savannah was in no way blushing because she was imagining that, not at all.

"I imagine it must be very... comfortable."

The blush was cute. Totally. "Yes. But I don't want to bore you with naked talk about me. Let's talk about you." His grin was teasing, not at all leering in any way whatsoever.

Still blushing, yes.

"I haven't spent much time wandering my room naked yet." And as soon as she realized what she had just said and *facepalmed* as she blushed even brighter.

Johnny shot out a bark of laughter. He hadn't meant that they discuss her being naked. It was nice, but he hadn't meant that, truly. He moved to put his arm around her, "I bet it would be a pretty picture if you did," he teased.

Savannah hid her face against his chest. "I don't know why I said that."

He hugged her tight, "I didn't mind. If you want to talk about your being naked? Hey, I'm a really good listener."

Savannah hugged him back. "I am so going to find myself making a fool of myself with you."

"Ahh, you are not, I promise," he pulled back slightly and took her chin between thumb and forefinger, "Honest. I think you are sweet, Savannah." Johnny said, staring down into her eyes, passing them over her face and focusing on her mouth before he looked back up once more.

She smiled up at him and blushed lightly again. "I think you're pretty terrific, you know."

"I'm really glad to hear that, otherwise it would made this date really awkward, know what I mean?" he said, smiling softly.

Savannah laid a hand against his face and then leaned up to kiss him gently. When she pulled back, she smiled.

"No awkwardness here."

The kiss made him smile, "None whatsoever, sweetheart."

Savannah smiled up and him and hugged him again. "So, what are the plans for tonight?"

"Anything you like," he said affably. "I'm game for anything and good for anything. What about you?" Johnny ran his hand down her back when she hugged him.

To Savannah's credit, she just barely managed to refrain from saying that she was up for anything as long as she could spend time with him. She didn't want to embarrass herself further.

"You said something about dinner?"

"I'm up for getting something to eat, are you? Any place is fine with me, really. Whatcha hungry for?"

"I like Italian... or pretty much anything, really. I'm not really picky." She also figured that saying her favourite food was steak and salad would be a bad idea to say on the first dinner.

Johnny was up for anything, "Italian sounds good. Is there a place like that in town? Cause I'm not too up on what's to eat around here yet. I've been to Pizza Planet." He said, grinning at her.

"I'm not sure, but we can flip through the phone book or the internet and see?" She was thinking that cuddling and watching movies here some night sounded good.

Johnny would never turn town movies and cuddling and maybe take out -- if it was ever suggested that is. "Sounds good, Savannah."

She went over to her computer and turned on the monitor and then did a search for eating places. "Cafe Fina serves Italian..."

"Cafe Fina, sounds great. I hope it's great. Are you hungry?"

She wasn't, but she grinned and nodded anyway. "Sure."

And Johnny wasn't born yesterday. Through her grin he could tell she wasn't all into going out and eating and stuff. "I have an idea, if you care to hear it?" He stepped closer and ran his thumb across her jawline.

"I'd love to hear it."

"What do you say to just ordering something in, lounging over there," he pointed to her bed. "And just watching some TV?" He wouldn't mind staying in, snuggling maybe.

(am going to be so slow.. grandparents are here and my time is not my own. woe.)

Savannah nodded and smiled. "I think that I really like that idea." She would very much enjoy the snuggling.
