Savannah was restless on her cot.
The dreams weren't going away and they seemed to always pick right up where they had left off.
"Elena! Elena come back! Come back! Don't leave me here!"
But the elevator never opened again and Elena didn't suddenly reappear.
"Elena?"
Savannah started to run to the elevator to try to open it, but one of the guards grabbed her and one of the doctors stuck a needle into her arm. She fought as hard as she could before the sedative worked and she collapsed...
...there was a hand holding hers and when she opened her eyes it was Leah. "It's okay, kiddo. You're better off with us. I'm your friend and I'll look out for you... no one else understands you."
"Elena?"
"Do you really think she'd come back here and risk herself just to rescue one witch who has already killed people? Forget her, Savannah. She was never going to get you out of here, no matter what she said. All she cared about was herself."
Savannah hadn't believed her, but it was hard when that's what your one friend in the entire place and your zookeepers all kept telling you. But... she was finding it harder and harder to play nice with the guards... she wasn't willing to become their little witch slave or their weapon...
Savannah whimpered in her sleep.
...the scene was different. She was in trouble. Leah was trying to take her away...everyone was hurt and it was her fault. Johnny was there... trying to do something, but he looked so angry... and she was afraid that he was upset with everything she had done... she was in tears, casting spells at Leah when arms grabbed her. "No, baby... no. I've got you...it's okay." She turned her face to look at him right as Leah threw the knife at him..."
Savannah had tears slipping down her face as she woke up from the nightmare with a jerk. She found that she had kicked off the blankets sometime during the dream and she sat up, shivering, to pull them back around her.
