Savannah was sitting on her bed with her notebook, her journal... and what looked like an old and fairly large leatherbound book. Yesterday had definitely not been the happiest day she had ever spent in Fandom. In fact, except for parts of it, she didn't think she had ever gotten so pissed off at anything since she had...

Probably best not to think about that right now, actually.

After hearing about it on the radio, she had rushed down to the clinic to check on her pseudo-sib and find out what had happened to him and his girlfriend. Seeing Anders in that bed like that had awakened every protective and vengeful instinct she had within her. After all, while Cally was her awesome Big Sib, Anders was Eve's Big Sib, and therefore her Big Sib-By-Proxy. After promising him that she and Eve would get revenge for him about what the maniac had done to Phoebe, she had left the clinic.

She had been planning to research her books and see how much a higher level healing spell from one of them would take out of her -- or if she would need some sort of anchor if she tapped into the power she had access to. It was just one of the many things about her and her abilities that the old Coven of Idiotic Biddies hated about her. However, needing to clear her mind of her anger before she even thought about using any spellwork, she had wandered through the park where she had met an Angel. Aziraphale turned out to be Phoebe's older brother, and not one of the Fates -- which would make Eve less likely to get into his face.

It had been nice to talk to him, and then before heading to the cabins, she wanted to go to "Book Haven" and talk to Chris about the spells she was pondering and the attacks. Of course, as luck would have it, that would be when she found out that Phoebe was Chris' aunt and he was not only upset about her being hurt -- but didn't approve of Anders as her boyfriend.

She had come back to the cabin and retreated into her alcove, pulling her curtain closed. The fact that there was a maniac in the woods attacking students was really pissing her off. She had spent a restless night going through her list of contacts in her mind to see who would be best for her to call for assistance and research.

She obviously couldn't call Paige or Lucas. Paige would have kittens and the last thing she wanted to do was worry her. Paige had sent her here thinking it would be safe and Savannah wasn't about to take that small peace of mind from her. After everything they had been through, she deserved that much.

Jeremy? Well, maybe, but then he would want to send Clay out here to keep an eye on her and make sure she was safe. Of course, as much as she adored Clay, his idea of what he should protect her from could get messy. He ranked boys having interest in her right up there with serial killers.

Benicio? No way. He was right the hell out. The first hint that there might be something dangerous near her and he would yank her out of here and have her secured someplace he declared safe before she could even hang up the phone. She adored the man, and he loved her, but he was a bit on the fanatic overprotective side when it came to her.

She had woken up this morning knowing exactly who she could call.

Adam.

Adam Vasic and his dad, Robert, would be happy to do some research for her -- and keep it a secret from Paige. Adam seemed to know that she could take care of herself and that she had the common sense to call them if she really needed them to come help her.

She was now sitting on her bed in her alcove, writing in her notebook... and sometimes in her journal. The curtain was wide open, so she was available for distractions and conversations.

"Maybe there's another way." Eve frowned thoughtfully. "Maybe the two of us can cast together, pool our magic... I don't even know if it can be done. But it's worth a try, y'know?"

Savannah thought about that as she wrote something else done.

"With everything else I know can be done, it would make sense that we should be able to work together on something like that."
