Room 217, Monday Evening

It was a less freaked out Savannah that was relaxing in her room tonight. The weekend had been pretty stressful and she hadn't slept much.

That would be why she was laying on her bed, staring at the ceiling.

Well, one reason.

She needed to call Eve and tell her that Paige had decided that for right now she could stay.

However, she wanted to talk to Johnny first.

After being in town for awhile, Johnny came back to his room, a Twizzler hanging from his mouth. He grinned when he saw Savannah and he walked towards her, taking the liberty of laying down beside her, on her bed. "Hey, baby."

Savannah gave a happy smile and curled close to him.

"Hey, sweetheart. How are you?"

"Am good, sweetheart. Know why?" He dangled his half eaten Twizzler over her lips.

She nipped at it. "Why?"

Johnny grinned and pulled the candy back just before she could take a bite. "Because we're alone, sweetheart." He took a bite then dangled it back just above her lips.

She grinned up at him and nipped at the candy again.

"Alone is good," she agreed. "So is the fact that Paige said I could stay with only a few conditions."

He let her have the candy because he was distracted by her mouth and what she was telling him. "What kind of conditions?"

"That I keep up my grades and stay out of trouble..." She took the candy from him and finished it before looking at him. "And at the first sign of danger to me she's yanking me out of here no matter what I say."

"Your grades are not a problem, neither is staying out of trouble," he said. Unless Paige considered Johnny to be trouble. Hmm. "No danger, I forbid it."

Paige might consider Johnny trouble, but Savannah didn't.

"I've been kidnapped two times before," she explained. "Paige is worried that it could happen again."

She thought it was sweet that he was forbidding danger to come near her.

"But I'm here now," he said, thinking that answer logical. "I'm going to watch over you and keep you safe, Savannah." He trailed his fingertip along her hairline, against her temple. "Don't you feel safe with me?"

Savannah nodded, closing her eyes, enjoying how that felt. "I do. I know you'll be here if anyone tries to hurt me again and will make them regret it."

"I will make them regret the day they were born," he said low, his eyes on hers. "Did Paige say anything else about me? About us rooming together?"

She opened her eyes to look at him. "She doesn't like it because she thinks I'm too young, but I think she also knows that I won't be budged and since Zoe wouldn't make me move out from living with you she stopped arguing."

Paige would still try to argue it, but for right now Savannah had won a battle in that war

"She went to Zoe over that?" He was surprised. He didn't even think Sue went that far. But then Sue knew Johnny very very well. He wouldn't budge either.

"That's what Eve said... because Paige ran into Eve and thought she was me."

Johnny chuckled. He would have liked to have seen that. "Well, this weekend is over, guardians and family are gone, and I promise to keep you safe. We might have to celebrate."

"Oh, I like the celebrating part."

"Do you?" he asked her softly, moving his hand down her arm. "What do you think that should entail?"

"Well... I think you should at least kiss me..."

"That I can do..." he whispered and leaned low, kissing her soft, warm mouth.

Savannah made a soft sound in her throat and wrapped her arms around his neck as she kissed him back.

Johnny moved over her slightly, on hand going to her hip, the other angling up under her hair at her neck. He deepened the kiss, exploring her mouth temptingly with his tongue.

Savannah whimpered and parted her lips more beneath his. She shivered, moving one hand beneath his shirt while the other played with his hair.

He slipped his hand underneath the hem of her shirt and let his fingers trail lightly across her stomach, kissing his way down from her mouth to her neck where he nibbled and bit gently.

Smiling against her neck, he murmured, "Love you too, baby."

Savannah pulled him closer, tilting her head so he had better access to her neck.
