Friday Evening, Serenity Cove

After talking to Chris about, well, everything, Savannah headed down to her favourite spot for thinking...

...or working things out with some magic or cursing.

She was doing a little bit of both. This time when she used her knock-back spells, the rocks didn't come flying towards her. That meant that there were no long term effects from Umbridge's spell. That meant she wouldn't have to booby-trap the office and set her on fire.

In between spells, she was practicing the kicks that Deadpool had shown the cheerleaders yesterday -- and wondering how hard it would be to convince Clayton to get her a set of throwing knives...

It was pretty late by the time Johnny headed out to the Cove in search of Savannah. He'd handwavily stopped off and had a few beers, unwinding from the day and feeling pretty good.

Finding her, he held back and sat down on a rock, content to just watch her for now.

Savannah was so engrossed in what she was doing, she didn't realize she was being watched. She held her hands out by her sides as she recited the spell she had prepared, and then she let two fireballs go sailing out over the water.

She watched them disappear, and then she did it again. These two weren't as large as the first two and she cursed creatively.

She took a deep breath, centering herself as she took the time to prepare the spell. When she felt she was ready, she flung her hands out and two large fireballs went crashing into the ocean.

She was amazing and he was captivated by her presence. The fireballs surprised he took that in in stride, realizing there was probably much he didn't know about her.

Johnny hung back but after her her last fireballs, he sent two of his own, following hers. It was no big deal, but he thought to let her know he was here and he was watching her.

Savannah turned her head when she saw the second pair of fireballs and smiled at him. She started walking towards him.

"Hey there. How long have you been here?"

Johnny leaned back on his elbow and returned her smile. "Not long, sweetheart."

She sat down next to him. "It's dark. I guess I lost track of time."

"You did because it's awfully damn late." he commented softly, leaning over to kiss her neck.

"How'd it go with Chris?"

Savannah smiled. "Sorry if I worried you."

She sighed, leaning against him. "It went about as well as could be expected. I know I hurt him... and he probably won't ever talk to me again. But... I was honest and told him you and I were exclusive."

His arm went around her and he drew her up against him closer. "Not much else you can do now. If he values your friendship, he'll talk to you. He might want to kick my ass, but he should still talk to you."

She smiled slightly, relaxing into him. "I somehow doubt Chris is the type of guy to go around kicking people's asses for no good reason."

"Losing you is a very good reason to kick a guys ass," Johnny said, though he wasn't exactly that type and he didn't really see Chris as that type either.

He shrugged. "You got it done and that's what was important." He paused for a moment then grinned. "Isabel was a little surprised I think."

She looked at him. "She was?" She smiled a little more. "I think there may be other people that are surprised." She was curious... she shouldn't be, but she was.

"What'd she say?"

"A few probably," he agreed, ducking his head and grinning.

"She said this means that she's going to have to stop flirting with me," he continued. "I told her yeah, good idea because you were kind of feisty."

Savannah blushed. She kind of liked being called feisty.

"It's hard not to flirt with you. Johnny."

"Which is it do you suppose, my awesome bod, or my quick wit?" Yeah, he was teasing. He didn't have a quick wit. Sue reminded him of that often enough.

Savannah would argue that point.

"I like everything about you."

"I believe you're becoming biased, sweetheart, but that's okay because I like it." Johnny took her chin between thumb and forefinger and tilted her face up so he could look at her, plus he wanted to kiss her.

She smiled up into his face. "It's convenient that you like it because I don't see that changing at all."

"Good," he whispered and lowered his mouth to hers.

She smiled against his lips, running a hand through his hair as he kissed her.

Without breaking the kiss, he moved her, positioning her in his lap so he could wrap his arms around her fully, holding her against him.

She really did like it when he held her like this. She wrapped her arms around him, getting comfortable in his lap.
