Room 217, Monday Morning

Savannah woke up slowly and at first was confused by the fact she was on the floor instead of the bed. Feeling an arm around her and warmth against her back, she turned her head slightly to see Johnny curled up on the floor with her. Even though she was confused about why they were both on the floor, she closed her eyes again and snuggled close to her boyfriend.

Boyfriend.

Savannah's eyes flew open again as she carefully raised her left hand... and stared at the woven flower ring that Johnny had placed on her finger during the wedding...

The wedding.

She bit her lip trying not to wake Johnny up with giggles.

They had spent the weekend as four year olds and apparently were pretty damn precocious.

"Mmmm," he murmured and snuggled closer, still blissfully in that state of mind where waking up was possible, just staying asleep was so much better.

Savannah was happy to continue snuggling and closed her eyes again.

"I love you too," he whispered and wondered why their bed felt so much like the floor.

Opening his eyes, Johnny was suddenly smacked with the light, and he looked at Savannah. "We were little, weren't we? And we... got married too?"

Savannah nodded slowly, not sure how he was going to feel about getting confirmation of that last part.

"We were precocious and determined..."

He held up his hand; his little flower ring was lost, most likely amongst the bed covers on the floor. Johnny looked back over at her. "It wasn't real, was it?"

Savannah smiled at him. "It's okay, sweetheart... I don't think it was legal because we were four." The ring was still on her finger and she started to slide it off. She'd put it in her jewelery box as a keepsake of what was quite the Fandom weekend.

But it had felt nice.

He shifted, moved, and looked around his covers for his ring until he found it tossed off to the side. It was so little for his grown hand now and smiling fondly at it, he told her, "We should keep them... what do you think?"

[my grandma flew in from Utah last night, I have been busy preparing for her arrival and tending to her today. She's really sick, so this is why I have been slow these last two days. I'm sorry.]

Savannah gave him a sweet smile.

"I think keeping them is a nice idea. After all, they were very important to our four year-old selves."

Johnny gave her a winsome smile and leaned close to her, kissing her cheek and tucking a strand of hair back behind her ear. "I love you."

She smiled, leaning into his touch. "I love you, too, Johnny." She smiled softly. "My bestest super hero ever."

He blushed. "I was a handful, wasn't I? And you were so cute, Savannah... so cute. I wonder what Wyatt is thinking about us right now."

"You were pretty cute and terrific, Johnny," she said with a smile. "Wyatt? Uhm... Wyatt might want to yell a little?"

"I was loud and scared poor little Lana," he chuckled and shook his head. "Think I should steer clear of Wyatt for a while. That or joke with him," he said, though it was more like provoke him, because picking on Wyatt was always fun.

"Poor Wyatt. He had to deal with all of us being little kids... and you and I demanding to be married." She grinned. "Good thing we never got around to telling Sean that part... I don't think he would have ever recovered from the shock."

"No, but we could tell him now," he said with a wicked smirk. "Tell him Wyatt married us."

Savannah stared in shock for a moment and then started giggling. "Oh gods, that would be too funny."

"Think he would try to lock you up forever and kill me?" he asked, his eyes full of amusement.

Savannah smiled and shook her head. "He won't want to kill you, no. Probably lock me up, yes, because he won't believe anyone would seriously want to marry me and make that kind of commitment and would want to protect me from that kind of hurt." She shrugged.

Johnny cocked his head at that and leaned up on one elbow. "Why do you say that? That he wouldn't believe anyone would want to marry you?"

"Not so much that they wouldn't marry me, but that they wouldn't stay." She shrugged as if it were no big deal. "I'm an outcast in Dad's side of the family, Johnny. Anyone to take a risk like that... they could be threatened and ran off... if not outright killed. Sean wouldn't want me to go through that." She gave him a look. "Wow, married to me for a weekend and already trying to get rid of me," she teased.

He gave her a small smile but stared into her eyes. "I don't think I could be run off so easily."

Savannah blushed and then gave him a considering look. "Somehow, I believe that the devil himself wouldn't be able to scare you away from something you wanted."

"No, no it would take something much more sinister I'm afraid," he said, allowing his gaze to travel over her face.

She couldn't look away from him. "I've been told that Thomas Nast is worse than the devil," she murmured.

Johnny just leered at her. "Sweetheart, he hasn't seen what I can do," he whispered, pulling her close as he laid back on his back. Johnny thought himself quite infallible.

Savannah smiled down into his face. "When you hold me like this, I get the feeling that you are quite unstoppable, you know."

"I'll let you hold that opinion for as long as you like, too," he said, smiling as he leaned his head up enough to kiss her

"I mean it when I call you my super hero, you know," she said before she leaned down and kissed him.

"I know you do," he replied quietly, kissing her back softly. "...and I love you for it."

"And I love you..." She could list several things she loved about him, but right now she was happy to be kissing him.
