Monday Evening, Serenity Cove

There was still plenty of light out when Savannah made her way to Serenity Cove.

Last night had not been the best night for her -- causing a fight between her boyfriend and her big brother. She had been almost positive that Johnny and Anders were going to come to blows and that was something that she never wanted to see.

She was restless and had a lot of tension in her that she needed to work out.

So, after swimming for a little while, she came back up onto the sand and sat for awhile, trying to calm herself down and release all of the tension.

Meditation... was not working.

That would be why she was now doing cartwheels and backflips up and down the beach.

"I'm a workaholic, and my first few months in Fandom were a little scary, not knowing if I could make it," said Mary. "But business has been great and getting some distance from my problems back home has really helped."

"It feels good to be smiling more often," said Mary, beaming. "Listen, I heard that you and Johnny are together, and I just wanted to say how happy I am for you."

That would be Savannah beaming now. "Thank you, Mary, that means a lot to me because I like you." She bounced a little.

"It's always good to see two people who are so happy together," said Mary. The little wheels in her head were spinning with her plans to see what other friends she had who would be happy together.

Savannah hugged her. "Thank you. I was worried that you wouldn't want to be friends any more when you found out."

"Oh, you didn't have to worry about that! I'm not that kind of person," Mary reassured her as she hugged Savannah back.

"I didn't think so, but I didn't want to hurt you, either."

Mary chuckled. "Believe me, I'm tough. I've been through a lot in the last year. It takes a lot to hurt me."

"Doesn't mean that I would want to add to it," Savannah said with a smile.

"I'm glad to hear that. I admit to being a tiny bit rattled when I first heard, but it was just a small blip on the radar in comparison to some other things that have happened to me," said Mary.

"Anything I can help with?"

"Not unless you have any ideas for someone I can fix up Dr. Keyworth with so he can be my therapist instead of him wanting to date me," joked Mary.

"Most of the girls I know are taken," Savannah said. "Sorry. He's a therapist? LIke a psychiatrist?"

Yet one more person to avoid. The last therapist she had known hadn't been so nice or moral.

"Yes, he's the psychiatrist who works down at the clinic," explained Mary. "He's a really nice guy, actually, and we've become good friends, but it just got weird when he admitted he had feelings for me. There's someone else he liked too and I tried to subtly get them together, but she wasn't really going for it."
