Savannah... had the beginnings of a plan that was forming in her mind.

It was a very good idea... well, as far as the students were concerned. The Princilady with sticks in her orifices may not like it.

She was making notes and from time to time, she picked up her phone to place calls.

The latest announcement from Umbridge had made Savannah realize thatit was time for her to engage in her own special form of revenge and aggressive tactics.

This, was a dangerous thing.

The door was open and her new stero was playing...

This did not bode well.

Lana winced. "Wow. I'm sorry. But Savannah... it is Johnny. I might ask first, because I know you, but if I'd just heard he'd moved in with you... I'd probably think you two were sleeping together too. Not that that makes it okay for her to call you names, of course."

"Phoebe told her I was."

"Phoebe did?" Lana looked startled. "That doesn't sound like her at all. Did you talk to her?"

The look Savannah gave her said that was a no.

"Phoebe told Summer I was sleeping around and that I was hurting Chris. Chris knows I'm not sleeping with Johnny and they both know I have gone out on dates with both of them. However, because of what Phoebe said, Summer came and attacked me and acted like she had a prior claim on Chris."

"Wait," Lana said. "Phoebe said that or Summer interpreted what she said as that? And again, I don't mean to say Summer is right in what she did, but I can easily seeing you doing something like that if you thought someone was hurting a friend of yours."

She sighed. "I say if Chris is okay with it, then he's the one who's important."

"I would never intentionally hurt Chris and Summer..."

"I know that," Lana said simply.

"If I had known there was something between them I never would have asked him out."

"I don't think there is," Lana said thoughtfully. "I think they're just really close friends. And didn't Wyatt encourage you to ask him out? He wouldn't have done that if there was something between them - not to mention that Chris wouldn't have gone out with you if there was."

"I don't know, Lana. Maybe... maybe Chris didn't know Summer felt like that." She shook her had. "And she's normal! Most guys like that."

"And you're special and gorgeous and sweet and even more guys like that."

Savannah blushed. "I've never been called sweet. Mostly called Trouble."

"I've been called that on occasion, too," Lana admitted. "I had a boyfriend give me "Trouble" shirts for each day of the week."

"Now that's better," Lana said. "Now might I suggest you try talking to Chris about all this?"

Savannah looked down. "Why should he want to talk to me? His roommate attacked me and was almost hurt... by me. If Wyatt hadn't come by and grabbed me..."

"So what?" Lana said bluntly. "Every time you get in a difficult situation you're just going to cut off those people forever? Savannah, if you do that, in no time at all you're going to have to hide yourself in a dark closet and never see anyone again."

She shook her head. "If you had any idea of some of the things I've done... If I hid away..."

Savannah looked at her. "I have hid away, Lana. And... it took a lot to convince my guardians to let me stay here because I told them I felt safe being a teenager. I almost hurt someone that Chris cares a great deal about. I wouldn't talk to me."

"Then I guess you're just lucky that most of the people here are more understanding than you are," Lana said lightly. "I'm still talking to you."

Savannah gave her a slight smile. "Eve said I wasn't allowed to hide in my room for the rest of my life, that people would be in here every minute to make sure I was okay."

"There's a sign-up list on her door already for people to take turns," Lana said straightfaced.

That made Savannah giggle. "You'd set it up, wouldn't you?"
