Wednesday Afternoon, Serenity Cove (After Cheerleading)

Savannah was in a cheerfully bouncy mood as she and Chris walked down to Serenity Cove. She and Chris were going to hang out and talk about their powers and the different way their magics worked.

She hadn't really shown anyone what she could do or talked much about it since she had been here at Fandom. True, she had tal;ked a little bit to Chris and Wyatt when she had first gotten here, but it really hadn't been much.

Plus, hanging out with Chris was nice, too.

Savannah tilted her head. "Then you must know a lot of blind and deaf girls," she said helpfully. "And, would it make you feel better to know that you are the first guy I've asked out?"

"Hmmm, I'm not sure if that makes me feel better or makes me more nervous," Chris admitted, glancing up and giving her a sheepish grin.

"But you were going to show me some magic," he said, changing the subject.

She knew an avoidance of more conversation on the subject when she heard it, but she decided to let it go for now. She could be tactful... sometimes.

"Well, what would you like to see?" She asked him this as sherecited a spell, and a few moments later had three small fireballs that she was juggling.

Chris whistled his appreciation. "Show off," he teased, lifting one hand and TKing a fireball away from her.

"I only promised my guardians that I would not juggle fireballs in the common rooms of the dorms. I said nothing about the beach." She grinned at him. Then she recited another small spell and knocked the fireball a little further away from him. "That one is one that has been known to throw large creatures through walls if it's used on them."

"Remind me not to piss you off then," Chris said with a grin. He orbed out and ended up behind her, reaching out to tickle her side lightly.

Savannah giggled slightly and then shook her head. "Okay... how did you do that? I mean, I've seen people disappear and reappear, but never like that."

Chris shrugged. "I inherited that from my dad. He's what's called a whitelighter, which is basically a guardian angel for witches."

She wrinkled her nose. "Does he fuck up people's lives for fun, too? Because, those are the only kind of angels I know about -- well, except for your aunt's friend."

Yeah, due to things with Eve, Savannah might have a little bit of a problem with angels.

"I don't remember him," Chris said. "He died when I was about a year old. But from what I've gathered, he helped my mom and aunts save a lot of lives."

He wasn't going to mention Grandpa's feelings on whitelighters because, while he didn't agree with them, he understood why Grandpa felt that way.

She winced. "I'm sorry, Chris. I shouldn't have said that."

"It's okay, you didn't know," Chris said.

"I'm not exactly known for a brain to mouth filter."

"I'm used to dealing with that," Chris said. "I'm pretty sure Wyatt was born without a brain to mouth filter."

Savannah laughed. "Do you really think he was?"

"Have you met my brother?"

Savannah's eyes were twinkling. "Yes... he's the one that said I should ask you out because... okay, yeah, I see what you mean."

Chris tensed. "He told you to ask me out because what?"

"Because if I waited for you to ask me out you might not."

Well, Chris couldn't really argue with that. "I guess he was right," he admitted. "Like I said, I had no idea you were even interested."

"I was and I thought it would be nice to get to know you better." She smiled.

He smiled back. "Getting to know you better sounds good to me."

"And you not freaking out about me juggling fireballs is a plus, too,' she teased.

"Well, you didn't freak out about my orbing," Chris countered.
