Wednesday Afternoon, Serenity Cove (After Cheerleading)

Savannah was in a cheerfully bouncy mood as she and Chris walked down to Serenity Cove. She and Chris were going to hang out and talk about their powers and the different way their magics worked.

She hadn't really shown anyone what she could do or talked much about it since she had been here at Fandom. True, she had tal;ked a little bit to Chris and Wyatt when she had first gotten here, but it really hadn't been much.

Plus, hanging out with Chris was nice, too.

"Definitely not," Chris said, smiling down at her.

And if she told him the truth about Eve, he would actually understand since he knew a teenage version of his mother and a teenage back-from-the-dead version of his Aunt Prue.

"I'm glad I came into the book store today and that you didn't have plans. This has been really nice, Chris."

He might get told that soon enough when Eve found out they were going on a date.

Chris nodded. "Yeah, I have to agree," he said.

He tugged her hand so he could pull her a little closer and bent to kiss her forehead.

Oh, she liked how that felt. It was nice and sweet. She wrapped her arms around his waist and lay her head against his chest.

"So when do you want to do that bowling date?" Chris asked, stroking her hair.

"I'm free Friday... if you are?"

"Friday works for me," Chris said. "Pick you up at six?"

She smiled. "I'll be ready."

"Great," Chris said. He was in no hurry to let her go, since it was nice standing on the beach, watching the sunset.

"Then it's a plan." Savannah was in no hurry to move, either.

"Do you have to hurry back to the dorms?" Chris asked.

Savannah shook her head. "Nope, I'm pretty free for awhile."

"Wanna hang out and watch the sun set?"

The moment the words were out of his mouth, he wondered if they were way too dorky.

She nodded. "I'd like that, Chris." She ddn't think it was dorky at all.

"Okay," Chris said, pulling back and smiling. "We should sit down and get comfortable. Unless you're afraid of getting sand on your clothes."

Savannah grinned at him and plopped down on the sand, tugging at his hand gently.

"Chris, I've run through graveyards and stuff. Sand doesn't bother me."

Chris sat down next to her. "Why did you run around in graveyards?"

"Gathering ingredients for the power ritual that my mom had wanted me to undergo to get me able to access the power I'm bound to."

"That sounds really interesting," Chris said.

Savannah smiled and ducked her head. "It meant a lot to my mom before she died... and when it was the right time, Paige and Lucas helped me gather all of the ingredients and Paige performed the ritual for me. It was a darker thing than she wanted for me, but it was what my mother had wanted and that was fine with Paige."

"Paige sounds like a pretty good guardian," Chris said, brushing a stray piece of hair away from her face.

She nodded. "Paige is pretty cool. She's only about ten years older than me, and she has never tried to replace my mom. She's really protective... and it wasn't until I told her that I felt safe here that she said it was okay for me to stay."

"I'm glad she let you," Chris said, letting his hand come to rest on her shoulder. "When I got here, I ended up meeting an alternate universe version of my mother that's only about three years older than me, so I kind of get the very young guardian thing."

Savannah gave him an assessing look before leaning against him. "What was that like, meeting your mom and her only being that much older than you?"

Well... this information could help.

"It was... it was weird," Chris said. "I never really knew my mom. I was too young to have any memories of her. So having that opportunity now... I wouldn't pass it up for anything."

He smiled faintly. "But it's definitely weird. I mean... she's dating and stuff and the guy isn't my dad and she barely even knows my dad and she's from a different universe, so she may not even have me and Wyatt some day."
