It was all over.

Savannah couldn't find Johnny and the rest of the Fantatstic Four. Hell, she was having a hard time locating anyone outside of New York City, either. Paige and Lucas weren't listed and the phone for Stonehaven was no longer in service.

She had finally packed a bag and raced from the penthouse to the lower lobby of the Baxter Building. The lobby was mostly deserted and she went outside to flag her own cab down. She didn't know exactly where she was going, but she knew she had to get out of New York City.

She was about to flag down a cab when she was aware of screaming and she turned to look in the direction of the screams.

Blackness. In a place where there should be skyscrapers and cars and so many people there was ... nothing.

And it was getting closer.

She couldn't take her eyes off of the approaching menace. She couldn't outrun it and she knew that there was no way that magic was going to save her from this.

Her hands were shaking as she tried to dial the phone and failed to key the correct numbers.

"Mama," she whispered. She had to call Isabel, let her know what had happened, say goodbye. She just couldn't seem to dial the number right now as she faced down the ending of everything she knew.

walks_two_paths: (Dark and Angry)
Savannah was in a mood.

She had been out in Oregon helping Paige and Lucas with a case and it had taken a bit longer than she expected it to. So when she checked her e-mail, she didn't really bother to read the one from Portalocity because well, busy.

Of course after three weird side trips and a layover in a place done in colors that she just knew couldn't be anything created by nature, she finally ended up in New York. However, she ended up in a section of New York that she had never seen before.

Calling Johnny didn't do any good as his phone wasn't picking up, so she called for a cab. She finally managed to get home without setting the cab driver on fire and was therefore not in any kind of a mood to be messed with.

The doorman greeted her as usual and happy to see someone friendly, Savannah smiled back at him.

"And how was your trip, Miss Levine?"

"Eventful, but it's good to be home." She headed toward the elevator, the doorman walking with her. "Is Johnny in?"

"Who, ma'am?"

Savannah stopped and gave him a look. "Johnny Storm? Part of the family that owns this building. About so tall and with a devil may care attitude to match?"

The doorman gave her a confused look. "I don't know anyone named Johnny Storm, Miss Savannah."

"You know, after the day I've just had, this is not the time to be making jokes."

A feeling of dread started building as she left the doorman staring after her. This did not bode well.

Savannah had drank coffee by the gallon and had even taken Vivarin in an effort to stay awake.

It didn't help and she would randomly drop into sleep no matter what she was doing. She hated it and after the magical reserves, she had been concerned to find out that she wasn't the only one.

However, when she fell asleep this time, she had the worst dream she had ever had. It was bad enough that she woke screaming.

Savannah just wasn't feeling like herself today and she couldn't figure out what was wrong.

After reserves, she headed back to her room and collapsed across her bed. Destiny whimpered and jumped up on the bed with her.

"I'm okay, girl," she reassured the dog and reached for her sketch pad and her phone. She figured that she would start making phone calls to check in on the people she loved.

That was the plan. What she hadn't planned on was the sudden nap she took.

She sat up from the bed, shaking her head about the bizarre dream that she had had.

walks_two_paths: (Savannah Is Hiding The Truth)
After the away team was transported back to Fandom and the island moved back to Maryland and away from Nemesis, Savannah went and took a long, long shower. She was sweaty from everything, and exhausted from not sleeping all weekend. Of course, the using so much magic in a short amount of time probably didn't help any.

Neither did having to fight a version of the brother that wanted to kill her.

When the water in the shower ran cold, Savannah dried off and got changed into comfortable clothing. After combing her hair out, she headed back to her and Johnny's room. Grabbing one of the stuffed animals he had given her, Savannah curled up on their bed -- Destiny curling up at her feet. She was trying not to let everything get to her and start her crying.

Sean was okay and won his forced match. Gwynn had lost hers and gotten hurt, but Ronan had worked on her so that she would heal. Eve had gotten to beat up on Guy, so she was feeling a little better and keeping an eye on her best friend. For her part, Savannah was relieved that no one from Nemesis had tried to force her into a match.

She closed her eyes and curled tighter around the bear she held. While part of her had wished so much that Johnny had been here this weekend, a bigger part of her was glad he was safely away with his family. She didn't know what would have happened if she had to watch both Johnny and Sean fight it out in the tournaments.

Savannah was no stranger to betrayal, but she had certainly never expected it to come from Johnny.

She had tugged and pulled at the ties for a couple of hours, feeling more and more pain in her wrists as she snarled at the ropes in her anger.

"Hi, Sue," she muttered as she struggled with the ties that had bound her wrists to the bed. "It's Savannah. I'm calling to apologize for killing your brother..."

When she felt the tell-tale wetness on her wrists she growled and went limp. "God damn you, Johnny. I am so going to force bolt --" She stopped and would have smacked herself in the forehead if she could have.

"Great, Savannah, get your temper all worked up and forget that you're a damn powerful witch."

She bit her lip and struggled to get her rage under control. When she felt a bit calmer, she recited something in Latin, and a small fireball appeared in her hand. Biting back a yelp of pain, she twisted her wrist to get the fireball as close to the ties as possible.

Once she was free, Savannah got dressed and wrapped her wrists. After making sure that Destiny had plenty of food and water -- and one of Johnny's shoes to chew on -- she headed out of the room, slamming the door behind her.

Savannah had enjoyed the pleasantly busy night she and Johnny had spent in their room. When they finally fell asleep, Savannah had every intention of sleeping in with her boyfriend for a good portion of Saturday.

That was the plan, until the P.A. system woke her up with the announcement from Vice Principal Hades.

"Oh come on on," she muttered, rolling her eyes and looking to see if Johnny heard the announcement, too.
